A sweet surprise awaits at Walt Disney World. Try the new Little Mermaid Cookie Pie, featuring a marshmallow and ganache filling. (This is a bonus theme park dining review. We will have another one at noon per usual on a weekday).

Walt Disney World announced an interesting new sweet treat this week. During the glow of the “Lilo & Stitch” movie doing so well at the box office, Walt Disney World started selling a “Little Mermaid” cookie pie. Yes, you read that correctly! Guests can find this new item at the Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and the Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
This is what Walt Disney World said about the Little Mermaid Cookie Pie: “Life’s full of tough choices, but choosing the Little Mermaid Cookie Pie is not one of them. This sweet treat is two house-made graham cracker cookies with a marshmallow and ganache filling.” These cost $6.29. They come wrapped in plastic for freshness.

We made a trip to the Beach Club Marketplace first to try to find this cute treat. However, that location was busy and did not have any available. So, we walked through the refurbishment zone that Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are currently.

Our walk turned out to be successful. We found a Little Mermaid Cookie Pie. Additionally, the cast members there were incredibly helpful.
Little Mermaid Cookie Pie

It looks adorable with the dinglehopper sticking out of the top of it. Additionally, the other decorative designs enhance “The LIttle Mermaid” theme. Some might consider this too cute to eat. However, we would not be among those “some.” Guests will need to remove the ribbon and the packaging before eating this.
The dinglehopper, or fork as some people call it, is a plastic utensil, so please do not plan on eating it. The outer frosting and decorative pieces that make up this “shell” look great, but taste average. The graham cracker cookies work well with this Disney creation. The concept of an elaborate s’more serves as the best description we can give of this Little Mermaid Cookie Pie. The ganache filling does not overwhelm the marshmallow flavor, which is a good thing.

The base components make a nice treat. Guesst will be divided on the virtues of the outer shell. Without the outer shell, how do you call this a Little Mermaid Cookie Pie? Guests should be careful when eating this regarding the marshmallow filling. During our dining adventure, we found a significant percentage of it on our hands towards the end. Maybe we should have used he dinglehopper to eat the Little Mermaid Cookie Pie.
Does this Little Mermaid Cookie Pie provide a good reason to visit these two lower-rated quick service operations? We would not go that far. However, if you are staying at the two hotels near Epcot, then purchasing this treat makes a solid snack choice. Otherwise, the Little Mermaid Cookie Pie does not demand a trip for all foodies.
