Looking to try the Red Velvet Funnel Cake at Epcot’s 2025 Festival of the Holidays. Good, over-the-top, and questionable…is it worth $12.50?

Epcot Funnel Cake Stand

Ah, funnel cake—the carnival classic that somehow tastes like joy, regret, and powdered sugar all at once. At the 2025 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays (November 28 – December 30, 2025), the American Adventure area is serving up a new contender: the Red Velvet Funnel Cake, known officially as the Red Velvet Cookie Funnel Cake. This can be found at the Funnel Cake stand in the American Adventure area in Epcot’s World Showcase.

Topped with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, cream cheese whipped cream, red velvet cookie pieces, mini chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup, this dessert looks like the holiday season exploded on a plate. Instagram-ready? Absolutely. Heartburn-ready? Definitely.

Now, the reality check: the stand is infamously slow, and despite the “made-to-order” promise, the funnel cake wasn’t piping hot. The red velvet flavor is…questionable, but somehow it still hits that sweet spot where you think, “Well, it’s good…sort of.”

At $12.50 plus tax, this is a splurge, even for theme park standards. Is it worth it? If you want a sugar coma that doubles as a slightly lukewarm holiday experiment, yes. If you value hot, fresh fried dough, maybe stick with a classic.

In short, the Red Velvet Funnel Cake is tasty, aggressively decorated, and probably not worth the price. Still, it might be festive enough to justify a moment of holiday indulgence.
