D-Luxe Burger has earned a loyal following among Walt Disney World fans thanks to its signature pressed-patty burgers, hand-cut fries, and rotating limited-time creations. The latest offering, the Pepperoni Pizza Burger, combines two classic comfort foods into one surprisingly balanced sandwich that quickly became one of our favorite recent Disney Springs burgers.
Priced at $14.79, the Pepperoni Pizza Burger features two pressed signature-blend beef patties, grilled pepperoni, fried mozzarella, marinara sauce, and a house-made focaccia bun. After recently stopping by Disney Springs to try it for ourselves, we came away impressed.
D-Luxe Burger
Located in the Town Center section of Disney Springs, D-Luxe Burger is Disney-owned and operated quick-service restaurant specializing in gourmet burgers made with signature-blend beef patties, house-made buns, hand-cut fries, dipping sauces, shakes, floats, and seasonal burger specials. The restaurant has developed a reputation among Disney fans as one of the best places to grab a burger on Walt Disney World property. In fact, many guests routinely rank it among their favorite quick-service dining locations at Disney Springs

First Impressions of Pepperoni Pizza Burger
When we first heard that D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs was offering a Pepperoni Pizza Burger, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. Would it taste like a slice of pepperoni pizza served on a bun? Is this the type of burger that gets overwhelmed by the sauce? Would it simply be a gimmick? Fortunately, none of those concerns proved true.
However, the Pepperoni Pizza Burger failed to match established expectations on presentation. It failed to live up to the hype of the Walt Disney World promotional photo. Since we do “taste” with our eyes first, that type of thing matters. Did the Pepperoni Pizza Burger from D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs overcome a less-than-stellar introduction? Or is it a sloppy mess?
Pepperoni Pizza Burger: A Burger First, Pizza Second
The Pepperoni Pizza Burger at D-Luxe Burger succeeds because it never forgets that it’s supposed to be a burger. The two pressed signature-blend patties remain the star of the show. D-Luxe Burger continues to deliver some of the best smash-style burgers on Walt Disney World property, with excellent flavor, a juicy texture, and just enough crispness around the edges.
The grilled pepperoni certainly contributes a familiar pizza flavor, but it never dominates the sandwich. In fact, if someone handed us this burger without telling us what it was, we might not immediately identify it as a pizza-inspired creation. At least during this visit, that’s actually a compliment. Rather than trying to recreate a slice of pizza, D-Luxe Burger uses pizza ingredients to enhance an already excellent burger.
The Fried Mozzarella Is the Real MVP
The ingredient that surprised us most wasn’t the pepperoni. It was the fried mozzarella. This isn’t a small garnish or a token piece of cheese. D-Luxe goes all-in with a thick layer of crispy fried mozzarella that adds tremendous texture and flavor.
Honestly, the fried mozzarella alone would make for a fantastic appetizer. Combined with the beef patties and pepperoni, it creates a rich bite that feels indulgent without crossing into excessive territory. Every bite delivered crunch, cheese pull, and savory goodness.
Surprisingly Balanced
Looking at the ingredient list, this burger sounds like it should be a greasy disaster. Think about it, it includes:
- Two beef patties
- Fried mozzarella
- Pepperoni
- Marinara.
Yet somehow everything works together remarkably well. The house-made focaccia bun deserves a lot of credit. It remains sturdy enough to hold the ingredients while remaining soft and flavorful. Nothing slid apart, and the sandwich never became messy despite its substantial build. Even more impressive, we never felt weighed down after finishing it. That’s not something we expected to say about a Pepperoni Pizza Burger featuring fried cheese.
Pepperoni Pizza Burger: Our One Minor Critique
If we could change one thing, we’d add a little more marinara. The sauce is present, but it plays more of a supporting role than we anticipated. We found ourselves wishing for either a slightly larger portion on the burger or a side cup for dipping. Yes, we understand it would increase the “messy” factor. However, the flavor combination works so well that leaning further into the pizza inspiration could elevate the experience even more.
Still, we understand the decision. The thicker marinara spread helps maintain the burger’s structure and prevents the bun from becoming soggy.
Don’t Skip the Fries
As good as the Pepperoni Pizza burger is, D-Luxe Burger’s fresh-cut fries deserve recognition. Walt Disney World describes them as hand-cut fries served with dipping sauces, and they remain one of our favorite side dishes at Disney Springs.
The fries feature crispy exteriors, fluffy interiors, and plenty of potato flavor thanks to the skin-on preparation. They reminded us of classic boardwalk-style fries and paired perfectly with the burger’s richness. We ordered the full portion and have zero regrets.
Availability
The Pepperoni Pizza Burger is currently listed as a limited-time offering on the official D-Luxe Burger menu. While neither Walt Disney World nor D-Luxe Burger has announced an official end date, the burger is expected to remain available through approximately July 31 based on the restaurant’s typical specialty burger rotation. Guests interested in trying it should do so sooner rather than later.
Pepperoni Pizza Burger at D-Luxe Burger Disney Springs Review
The Pepperoni Pizza Burger may not completely recreate a slice of pizza between two buns, but that’s exactly why it works. Instead of sacrificing burger quality for a gimmick, D-Luxe Burger delivers a fantastic cheeseburger enhanced by pizza-inspired flavors. The grilled pepperoni adds savory depth, the fried mozzarella is outstanding, and the focaccia bun holds everything together beautifully.
This is one of those limited-time Disney Springs offerings that genuinely earns a recommendation. If you’re planning a Disney Springs visit this summer, make time for this burger. You may arrive expecting pizza. Still, you’ll leave remembering just how good D-Luxe Burger’s burgers really are.
