Mattel merges horror and fashion with the Monster High M3GAN Doll, inspired by M3GAN 2.0 and featuring eerie details, accessories, and exclusive packaging.
We have another movie tie-in with the upcoming M3GAN 2,0 movie. This time it does not involve a popcorn bucket or Captain Morgan. It is not even Halloween Horror Nights-related. This tie-in comes from Mattel, the top company. Mattel is transforming the artificial intelligence robot, M3GAN, based on the movie from Blumhouse Productions, into a Monster High Skullector doll.
Monster High M3GAN Doll
The Monster High Skullector M3GAN Doll comes with her Purrpetual Petz purse, heels, and a bow on the front of her dress. However, people expected this killer robot doll to be that simple, which would be incorrect. Her face comes off to reveal her scary android interior. The doll comes in special packaging that features a split view of M3GAN in her android form and with her normal face on. The two sides split open to reveal the doll within.
Gerard Johnstone, the director of both M3GAN and M3GAN 2.0 has also been tapped to direct the upcoming Monster High movie. “Gerard’s unique vision and genre-blending style make him the perfect fit for this film,” says Robbie Brenner, president and chief content officer at Mattel Studios. “This is exactly what we’re building at Mattel Studios as we continue to work with top talent to tell fresh, unexpected stories from our rich portfolio of brands. Monster High is a fan-favorite franchise with endless storytelling potential, and we are thrilled to reimagine it in a monstrously exciting way with Gerard at the helm.”
The Monster High Skullector M3GAN Doll will be available exclusively at mattelcreations.com starting June 11, leaving just enough time for fans to get hyped for M3GAN 2.0 to hit theaters June 27. According to the Mattel website, the cost is $65.

Building on the narrative of the M3GAN film, the Monster High M3GAN Doll comes with this warning label: “WARNING: M3GAN is no ordinary doll. She is at the apex of artificial intelligence … or, in her case, artificial malevolence. Attempts to alter her code were in vain. Though she may look sweet and toy-like, she will go to any lengths necessary to maximize her objective function. She possesses myriad emergent capabilities that The Company has yet to discover, as well as a mocking attitude that suggests she’s become self-aware. Do not activate M3GAN under any circumstances.”
