Disney Springs guests were in for a surprise this week as a popular snack spot quietly shuttered its windows, but the mystery was quickly solved. Marketplace Snacks is undergoing a brief refurbishment to make way for a major menu expansion that will delight fans of both sweet and salty treats.
Starting January 15, 2026, the location famous for its elaborate character-themed bubble waffle sundaes is moving into the savory category. While the signature Mickey Mouse waffle cones remain the star of the show, they will now serve as the vessel for three “extravagant eats” that trade soft-serve for protein.
The New Savory Lineup at Marketplace Snacks Disney Springs
The new menu additions include:
- Hot Honey Chicken Waffle ($12.99): Crispy fried chicken bites, black pepper candied bacon, spicy pickle slaw, roasted jalapeños, and garlic ranch, all drizzled with hot honey.
- Cheeseburger Waffle ($12.99) : Ground beef, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, dill pickles, iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, and burger sauce.
- BBQ Brisket Mac and Cheese Waffle ($12.99) : Smoky brisket chunks topped with mac and cheese, sweet black pepper BBQ sauce, pickled onions, and parsley.
Guests should be aware that these use a sweet waffle, which may not work for some people’s taste buds.
A Quiet Transformation
The transition hasn’t been without its “Disney Magic” moments. On January 12, fans noticed the kiosk was completely closed with menus removed, despite the official website still listing normal operating hours. Cast Members on-site eventually confirmed the spot was under a short-term refurbishment to prepare for the January 15 launch. Whether you’re looking for a decadent dessert or a loaded lunch, Marketplace Snacks is quickly becoming a must-visit destination in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs.
