THANKFUL FOR CAST MEMBERS!

Each month we have been featuring a special Cast Member to highlight how amazing these magic makers truly are. In the spirit of the season, we at Main St Magic would like to say a special THANK YOU to ALL Cast Members for November. I am continually amazed at how this group of people create and maintain the magic of Disney day in and day out. Whether it is the behind the scenes cast working custodial and maintenance, those working in the offices taking care of the details, the Imagineers who are always creating something new and exciting, to all the special “friends” of all our favorite characters, all the guest facing Cast Members, and each and everyone in between: We Thank YOU! We Appreciate YOU! Because without you, Walt Disney World is just another theme park.

I have heard and read a lot lately about how the magic is gone; how Disney is just not the same. While there have been a lot of changes, not all of which have been magical, the magic is still there! You just have to know how to find it. Walt Disney World Cast Members, as a whole, are the most caring, enthusiastic, kind, and helpful group of people you would ever want to deal with. They work long hours, deal with countless grumpy guests, often are outside in the Florida heat all day but still find a way to smile and make a special moment for their guests. Because that’s how most Cast Members view us: as their personal guests.

Now, does that mean that everything will always be sunshine and roses or that nothing will ever go wrong? Of course not! It also doesn’t mean that just because you are at Walt Disney World and paid a lot of money to get there that you will be “Pixie Dusted”. But I can assure you, almost every Cast Member will do everything in their power to correct a mistake or turn a bad situation around.

One of our favorite things to do is just chat with Cast Members. It may only be for a few minutes in line or an actual conversation, but hearing their stories and getting to know them is fascinating. Cast Members are such a diverse group of people from all across the globe brought together with one common purpose: to make our vacations the best they can possibly be.

So next time you are at the parks remember to Be Nice To Cast Members, and maybe give them a heartfelt THANK YOU.
