The ultimate culinary earworm is officially back, and it has a bold new sound. Chili’s Grill & Bar has teamed up with four-time Grammy and Emmy Award-winning artist and longtime Chili’s superfan, Lizzo, to drop a modern remix of its legendary Baby Back Ribs jingle.

Co-written and co-produced by Lizzo, the brand-new track and accompanying music video blend the restaurant’s signature nostalgia with the artist’s unmistakable, upbeat pop energy. The video features shot-for-shot references to the original commercial that first got “I want my baby back, baby back…” stuck in America’s head decades ago.

However, it quickly takes a quintessentially-Lizzo turn when the classically trained flautist pulls out a custom flute designed to look exactly like a Chili’s Baby Back Rib, launching into an all-new verse. For purists who love the nostalgia of the original, Lizzo also recorded a full acapella version of the classic jingle, performing every single vocal part herself.
“Weekends at Chili’s were a huge part of my childhood and I’ve stayed a fan — you may have even seen me dress up as a Fried Mozzarella cheese pull on Halloween — so when they reached out about collaborating, I couldn’t say yes fast enough,” said Lizzo. “I don’t think there’s a more memorable jingle, so when putting my own spin on it, I really wanted to honor that history while also making it feel fun and very me.”
Meatier Ribs and a Modern Refresh

The musical collaboration arrives alongside major menu updates. Chili’s recently upgraded its Baby Back Ribs, which now feature meatier full- and half-rack portions that deliver up to 50% more ribs to guests. The updated recipe is finished with a new caramelized barbecue sauce crust.
“When we refreshed our ribs, our goal was to give guests more of what they love without straying too far from where we started,” said George Felix, Chili’s chief marketing officer. “And with a jingle that has lived in pop culture for decades — in movies, on TV, and in people’s heads — we knew the refresh had to do it justice. Lizzo nailed it by bringing something familiar and beloved into the moment with her signature creativity and energy.”

Both versions of the new jingle are officially live on YouTube.
