The Legoland Florida space coaster opens in 2026, offering an immersive indoor ride with Lego storytelling, family thrills, and cutting-edge coaster technology.

Get ready to blast off! Legoland Florida Resort is reaching for the stars in 2026 with a brand-new space-themed attraction that’s sure to be the most immersive and technologically advanced experience ever introduced at the park.
Developed by Merlin Entertainments in close collaboration with the Lego Group and the creative team at Merlin Magic Making, this out-of-this-world adventure will include an indoor roller coaster, interactive queue, themed retail space, and play areas for younger explorers.
Legoland Florida Space Coaster: An Intergalactic Lego Adventure Awaits
Located in the northernmost corner of Lego City, this stellar expansion begins with Legoland Spaceport 885, a futuristic launchpad named after the classic Lego Space Scooter set, #885. This will be the first new coaster inside Legoland Florida’s main park since its grand opening in 2011—and it’s designed to usher in a new era of thrills, storytelling, and space exploration for families.
“This is more than just a ride,” says Blake Boyter, senior project manager of Merlin Magic Making. “It’s a fully immersive mission that starts the moment guests enter the building.”
What to Expect from the New Legoland Florida Space Coaster and Themed Land

Here’s what future astronauts can look forward to when the attraction opens in early 2026:
- The Ultimate Indoor Coaster Experience: Buckle up for an interactive indoor adventure that takes riders on a cosmic mission through a brick-built galaxy, blending Lego creativity with cutting-edge coaster tech.
- Orbital Outpost Retail Shop: Pick up stellar souvenirs, space gear, and Lego sets to commemorate your journey.
- Interactive Queue Experience: Even the wait will be fun! Families will step into a weather-friendly, story-driven queue that sets the stage for their space mission.
- DUPLO® TOT Spot: Designed for astronauts ages one to four, this shaded play area includes soft surfaces, Duplo characters, vehicles, and plenty of space for imagination to take off—plus seating nearby for parents.
A Major Investment in Family Fun

With over $90 million being invested between Legoland Florida and Legoland California, this is the largest in-park expansion ever for either resort. The identical attractions will debut on both coasts in 2026, offering families a brand-new reason to visit (or revisit) their favorite Lego-themed destination.
Included with General Admission
The new attraction will be included with general park admission and all Annual Passes. Current and new Passholders will be among the first to experience this groundbreaking adventure, making now the perfect time to secure your pass.
Don’t miss out on other seasonal experiences too, like Go Xtreme!, Brick-or-Treat’s Monster Skytacular drone show, the Holidays at Legoland celebration, and the all-new Sea Life Florida Aquarium, now open.
