From cheesy pretzel bites to a decorate-your-own Lego cookie, these snacks are a good option at Legoland Florida’s new Lego Festival.

Lego Festival

May 3 marked the beginning of the new Lego Festival at Legoland Florida. This new festival offers plenty of fun zones for guests to enjoy. This starts an exciting summer season at Legoland Florida. In addition to the new festival, Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland Florida opens May 23 enhancing the options for entertainment this summer at the theme park resort.

We were invited to Legoland, Florida, to experience the Lego Festival on its opening day. The festival runs on weekends through June 8. This article focuses on some special food offerings for this event. We will publish a more detailed look at the Lego Festival at a later date.

Lego Festival Food and Beverage

Lego Festival

This new festival offered six food and beverage options specifically for the event. These included:

  • Lego Minifigure Head Cookie
  • Festival Fusion Lemonade
  • Cha Cha Cheese Pretzel Bites
  • Donut Stop the Groove -Purple glazed donut topped with fruity cereal and a neon green glaze drizzle
  • Rockstar Refresher- Cotton candy flavored soda.

For full disclosure, we were given vouchers to try the Cha Cha Cheese Pretzel Bites and the Lego Minifigure Head Cookie. However, we ordered them from the same stands as all guests. We received the same food offerings as all guests could purchase during the Lego Festival at Legoland Florida.

We started with the Cha Cha Cheese Pretzel Bites. They come in an adorable Lego minifigure head bowl. We have a love/hate relationship with Legoland Florida food options like this. The collectible containers often look great, like this one. However, the collectible item increases the price. There was no option to purchase this item at a lower price in another container.

Despite that, we enjoyed this snack. It consists of warm Bavarian pretzel bites topped with house-made local cheese, crispy chipped bacon, and green onions. The portion size makes a complete snack. We received 12 pretzel nuggets. In contrast, guests get only seven or eight pretzel nuggets at Epcot at Walt Disney World, with the new-ish ones there at Block & Hans.

However, the Lego Festival version costs almost twice as much as the Epcot version. Once again, guests need to figure in the collectible bowl.

The Lego Festival pretzel nuggets offer plenty of bacon with a robust savory flavor, which works well with them. Nevertheless, the green onions are a question mark. Would kids enjoy green onions on this? We wondered about that. The green onions are the weakest part of this dish, but they enhance the overall flavor.

This is clearly an eat-with-a-fork, not with your hands, food item. The bowl will be messy. If you want to keep the bowl, you can put the lid on top of it when you are through to reduce the potential mess. Overall, these made a good festival food item.

Lego Minifigure Head Cookie – $8.49

In the creative zone of the Lego Festival, guests can purchase a do-it-yourself style cookie. This concept fits the creative zone well. Guests receive an iced sugar cookie and a container of more decorative icing to create a face for their cookie. This should entertain cranky children and adults alike.

The cookie offered a reasonable amount of flavor. These cookies are soft. Most guests will find this cookie diversion to be a tasty use of their time.
