Looking for the best Korean corn dog Disney World has? Morimoto Asia Street Food delivers a bold twist on this trending snack.

If you’re exploring Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and craving a unique snack, the Korean Corn Dog Disney World version at Morimoto Asia Street Food fulfills that desire. This fast-casual eatery, helmed by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, offers a variety of pan-Asian delights, and their take on the Korean corn dog stands out as a flavorful fusion of sweet and savory.
What is a Korean Corn Dog?

Korean hot dogs are also known as Korean corn dogs in the United States due to their resemblance to the American corn dog. Still, the term “corn dog” is actually a poor description for the product. Despite being sausages dipped in batter, the Korean hot dog version usually doesn’t use cornmeal. Additionally, Korean hot dogs are far more than the relatively narrow concept we have of American corn dogs. There are various toppings, sauces, and fillings to choose from, making Korean hot dogs highly customizable, which is a significant factor contributing to their recent surge in popularity. They may both be battered meat on a stick, but they are very different.

In further discussion, we will refer to the Korean hot dog as a Korean corn dog, as that is its official name at Morimoto Asia Street Food. We would not want to argue cuisine with the Iron Chef.
Korean corn dogs first appeared in the 1970s, when Korean dishes featuring processed meats like hot dogs gained popularity due to both the struggling economy and the United States’ military presence. However, they were often made with fish cakes due to meat shortages. Nevertheless, the currently popular forms of Korean corn dogs emerged in the 2010s, when new chains began reviving the street food and adding modern spins to it.
The Korean corn dog batter is distinct, typically using a combination of wheat and rice flour instead of cornmeal. This gives it a lighter, chewier texture. This Korean corn dog batter retains its ingredients well, and that is another essential difference, as Korean corn dogs often incorporate additions like potatoes, dried ramen, or crispy rice into the batter for added flavor and texture. Korean corn dogs also utilize powders and sauces applied directly to the outside of the dog. The powders can be simple seasoning mixes or even things like Cheeto dust, and sauces range from classics like mustard and mayo to hot sauces, ranch, and custom sweet and spicy recipes.
Another distinction between Korean corn dogs and the United States version relates to the filling. The meat will usually be a sausage, similar to a hot dog; however, Korean corn dogs are also made with cheese fillings, typically mozzarella or cheddar.

Priced at $8, the Morimoto Asia Street Food Korean Corn Dog Disney World version features a beef hot dog and mozzarella cheese encased in a crispy panko breadcrumb coating. It’s drizzled with sriracha ketchup and honey mustard, then dusted with sugar, creating a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The combination of the crunchy exterior, gooey cheese, and the balance of spicy and sweet sauces offers a delightful twist on a classic street food favorite.

We have ordered this many times during our visits to Disney Springs. Though we would not define it as an authentic Korean corn dog, it is close enough for theme park resort purposes since most guests would not enjoy a true Korean Corn Dog. Our favorite aspect relates to the melty cheese within. Additionally, the panko crust batter elevates the Morimoto Asia version above a standard Korean corn dog. The balance of sweet and spicy might be off-putting to some guests. Still, we feel this makes a solid snack for most Disney Springs visitors.

Morimoto Asia Street Food operates daily from noon until 8:00 p.m., providing a convenient option for a quick bite or a leisurely snack on their covered patio. Located at The Landing in Disney Springs, it’s an excellent spot to experience innovative Asian cuisine without needing a formal dining reservation. Walt Disney World annual pass discounts do apply here.
Whether you’re a fan of traditional corn dogs or looking to try something new, the Korean Corn Dog Disney style at Morimoto Asia Street Food offers a satisfying and memorable culinary experience.
