Horror fans and collectors are about to have a very strange trip to the circus tent. Mattel Creations has officially teased a brand-new collaboration between Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Monster High. It looks like the fan-favorite Klown “Shorty” is getting the Skullector treatment.
The teaser first appeared on Monster High’s official Instagram account with the ominous caption, “WATCH OUT: ALIEN INVASION INCOMING. The circus comes to town 5/15.”
According to reports, the upcoming collectible doll will launch on May 15 through Amazon and Mattel Creations as part of the premium Skullector line. The collaboration continues Monster High’s recent trend of diving deep into horror fandom with collector dolls inspired by iconic genre properties including The Shining, Alien, and Us.
Killer Klowns Toys: Halloween Horror Nights Connection?
For theme park fans, the timing feels especially fitting. Killer Klowns from Outer Space has become a massive cult favorite at Universal Orlando Resort thanks to multiple appearances at Halloween Horror Nights over the years. The franchise first appeared as a scare zone in 2018 before receiving full haunted houses at both Orlando and Hollywood in 2019.

Originally released in 1988 by the Chiodo Brothers, the bizarre sci-fi horror comedy has experienced a major resurgence in popularity in recent years thanks to merchandise, Spirit Halloween collections, and the release of Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. While Mattel has not yet revealed full photos of the doll, the movie franchise opens up so many possibilities of accessories inspired by the film’s iconic cotton candy cocoon weapons and popcorn blasters.
