January usually comes with a long list of “don’ts,” but KFC is changing the narrative for 2026. Instead of restrictive resolutions, the fried chicken giant is leaning into “intentional indulgence” with the launch of its new KFC $5 Bowls lineup. Now, customers can grab five different flavor-packed bowls for just $5 each.

“Every January, the conversation around food gets smaller with focus on rules and restriction. But it shouldn’t come at the cost of trading down,” said Melissa Cash, KFC U.S. CMO. “Self-improvement can mean intentional indulgence, comfort and abundant value. 2026 will certainly be the year of balance, and KFC has something for everyone to keep the focus on what matters most: – you and the balance you deserve without compromise.”

What’s on the KFC $5 Bowls Lineup?

The star of the show is a new collaboration with Canadian chef and cultural icon Matty Matheson. Together, they’ve created Matty’s Cheesy Nuggy Gravy Bowl, a bold take on poutine that features fries, brown gravy, crispy nuggets, and cheese curds.

“KFC knows value and flavor, and we wanted to bring that energy to lunch,” said Matty Matheson, restauranter, executive producer, author and actor. “Something warm and bold and comforting. It’s the kind of food you crave and can’t stop thinking about.”

The full KFC $5 Bowls lineup includes:

  • Matty’s Cheesy Nuggy Gravy Bowl: The ultimate comfort blend of fries and cheese curds.
  • Mac & Cheese Bowl: A fan favorite featuring creamy mac and cheese topped with nuggets.
  • Spicy Mac & Cheese Bowl: The classic mac with a Nashville Hot Sauce kick.
  • Mashed Potato Bowl: The iconic “Famous Bowl” layering potatoes, corn, gravy, and nuggets.
  • Spicy Mashed Potato Bowl: A fiery remix of the classic mashed potato base.

The Return of $10 Tuesdays

In addition to the bowls, KFC is bringing back $10 Tuesdays. This deal offers an eight-piece bucket of dark meat or tenders for just $10, providing a reliable weekly ritual for families looking to stretch their budgets without sacrificing flavor.

Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a Tuesday night feast, the KFC $5 Bowls lineup proves that the start of the year doesn’t have to be about doing less. It can be about getting more for your money.
