Jack in the Box’s Munchie Meal of Horror teams up with The Simpsons for a Treehouse of Horror menu at a drive-thru near you.

While some restaurants have decided to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day, Jack in the Box went a different spooky direction. Simpsons fans, today is your foodie day! Jack in the Box is bringing a taste of Springfield to its late-night menu this Halloween season. The chain’s new “Simpsons Munchie Meal of Horror” dresses up its long-running Munchie Meal platform in “Treehouse of Horror” branding, complete with two spooky entree names, a purple collector’s box, and a set of six glow-in-the-dark cups fans will want to track down.

What’s in the Munchie Meal of Horror

Leading the frightful feast is the Munchie Meal of Horror, summoned straight from Springfield as a terrifying twist on Jack’s legendary late-night meal. Fans can choose between a Double Krusty Burger of Terror or Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror, served alongside two tacos, seasoned curly fries, and a drink. Each meal also comes with one of six special-edition glow-in-the-dark The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror cups and arrives in an exclusive Treehouse of Horror Munchie Meal box that brings Jack Box into the twisted world of Springfield.

Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes

Jack is also putting its own spin on one of Springfield’s most recognizable treats with the new Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes. Inspired by Homer famously selling his soul to the devil for a donut, these dangerously tempting bites are a treat worth risking it all for. Warm donut holes are dusted with cinnamon sugar, topped with pink frosting, and finished with rainbow sprinkles for a Jack take on the iconic pink donut. Even the packaging gets in on the horror, featuring Homer’s unforgettable transformation into a donut straight from the classic segment.

The dessert name nods to “The Devil and Homer Simpson,” the Treehouse of Horror IV segment where Homer trades his soul to Devil Flanders for a doughnut, then sneaks back for a forbidden second one. It’s a deep-cut reference dressed up as a snack, and honestly one of the more clever fast-food tie-ins we’ve seen this year.

Whether looking for a classic bite or something a little more monstrous, fans can also experience the collaboration through a lineup of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Meals, with four themed entrées to choose from. Each meal is served with fries and a drink, giving fans more ways to get a taste of Springfield:

• Krusty Burger of Terror: Terrifyingly delicious seasoned 100% beef patty, melty American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and new Spooky Simpsons sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun.
• Double Krusty Burger of Terror: Two seasoned 100% beef patties, melty American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and new Spooky Simpsons sauce on a toasted sesame bun.
• Triple Krusty Burger of Terror: Three seasoned 100% beef patties, three slices of melty American cheese, lettuce, tomato and new Spooky Simpsons sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun. Plus fries and a drink.
• Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror: Featuring two crispy chicken patties, lettuce, tomato, Swiss-style cheese, and new Spooky Simpsons sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun.

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror takeover extends beyond the menu with six special-edition glow-in-the-dark cups available with the Munchie Meal of Horror while supplies last. Each cup features a different Treehouse of Horror-inspired design, bringing fan-favorite characters like Hugo (Bart’s evil twin brother), Krusty the Clown, Marge, Kang and Kodos, and more to life in their spookiest forms. With six designs to collect, fans can see which frightful character they get with every meal.

Leaked materials disagreed on when the Jack in the Box Munchie Meal of Horror would launch. Some reports stated September 10. Others claimed September 18. However, today is the day, but your nearest location may be delayed in releasing this meal.

Why This Munchie Meal of Horror Collab Makes Sense

Jack in the Box has spent the last few years turning the Munchie Meal into a rotating collaboration platform, teaming up with Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, T-Pain, Coca-Cola’s Starlight flavor, and most recently Hot Ones. A Simpsons tie-in has a little extra history behind it, too: the show poked fun at Jack in the Box back in 2020, when the “Highway to Well” episode introduced a parody ad for “Krusty’s Munchie Mouthfuls.” Six years later, the real chain appears to be leaning into the joke with an official Springfield tie-in of its own.
