Ice Cold Hydraulics offers unique twists on theme park snacks, from Coca-Cola-glazed cinnamon rolls to spicy-sweet churros. Find out how they taste!

In 2024, a food and beverage kiosk was created known as “Ice Cold Hydraulics.” Guests can find this stand on their way to the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge section of Disney Hollywood Studios. It is sort of across from the BaseLine Tap House. Ice Cold Hydraulics serves many standard theme park snacks like popcorn, Mickey-shaped pretzels, and Nestlé® Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream products. When the stand was opened as Ice Cold Hydraulics, it started offering two new snacks with a twist of Coca-Cola love for guests to try. So, how were those items?

In the Grand Avenue area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests usually wander by on their way to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area.  However, the Coca-Cola-themed food and beverage kiosk, Ice Cold Hydraulics, has not slowed that down very much.  Guests walking this way will see the new Ice Cold Hydraulics stand on their left as they walk towards the Galaxy’s Edge. Guests will see limited seating to the left of the stand as you face Ice Cold Hydraulics. The closest restrooms are directly behind Ice Cold Hydraulics.

This food and beverage kiosk features two new snacks for guests to try at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Candy Painted Cinnamon Rolls and Bouncin’ Mini Churros. In both cases, these offer non-standard flavors that enhance traditional theme park snacks. We tried to determine whether guests would appreciate these more unique churros and cinnamon rolls. In both cases, we felt that the menu description perfectly indicated what the guests could expect flavor-wise from these treats.

Candy Painted Cinnamon Rolls – $9.29

Building on the theme of this Coca-Cola-themed kiosk, these cinnamon rolls come with a Coca-Cola-infused glaze. However, the excess glaze falls onto the plastic serving plate based on how they are served to guests. As a result, these cinnamon rolls can be eaten with your hands if you are careful. That is a good thing since Ice Cold Hydraulics did not have plastic silverware on the day we visited.

The official menu description reads, “Mini cinnamon rolls topped with Coca-Cola-infused glaze and toasted nuts.” Guests get three cinnamon rolls. We would define these as larger than mini cinnamon rolls. Still, we would not call them big either.

Regarding flavor, the Coca-Cola flavor comes through, but it is not overwhelming by any means. The roasted nuts also add to the enjoyment. However, many fall off the cinnamon roll, reducing the quality. Like many theme park cinnamon rolls, these do suffer from dryness. The cinnamon flavor was adequate for this type of snack, though. Overall, these were okay but falling below a must-have snack at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Bouncin’ Mini Churros – $8.99

The other less traditional treat found at this stand at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Bouncin’ Mini Churros. Guests can also order standard mini churros at Ice Cold Hydraulics for one dollar less. The menu description reads, “Savory churros topped with Coca-Cola and bourbon candied bacon, sriracha aioli, and scallions.

Because of their inconsistency and dryness, Churros at Walt Disney World are not a go-to snack for experienced visitors. However, each time we have eaten the mini churros here, they have not been dry. Nevertheless, they could have been softer.

Some guests may compare them to a sweet and savory treat. One colleague said they reminded them of a tiny loaded baked potato. We would not go that far. Still, the sweetness comes through with these mini churros but depending on the amount of topping you get that stays on the mini churros, the savory aspect could be the dominant flavor. Once again, the topping fails to stay on very well with this treat. The sriracha aioli adds a small amount of spicy kick, but it is not enough to turn off those who are opposed to heat.

Ice Cold Hydraulics – Worth a Stop?

Overall, these unique snacks should not cause anyone to race to Ice Cold Hydraulics for a snack. However, they would still make a decent snack. They are harder items to review since they are not a must-do or a treat to avoid. At Walt Disney World, lots of snacks fall into this category of just okay.

Would we get these again? After having them a few times, we would not. We would not question the decision if someone wanted to share them. Some things in life and dining are just okay, like these two snacks. Ideally, we would order the cinnamon rolls for a quick breakfast at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Based on the preparation method, all cinnamon rolls at Walt Disney World taste better when eaten earlier in the day.
