The Fourth of July Beignets bring apple pie filling and marshmallow sauce to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter. We tried them and here is our review.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter is once again celebrating Independence Day season with a limited-time seasonal treat. Available at Scat Cat’s Club Café and Lounge, the new Fourth of July Beignets feature cinnamon sugar-dusted beignets served with marshmallow sauce and apple pie filling. Disney introduced the item as part of its Disney Celebrates America Foodie Guide 2026 lineup, giving guests another reason to make the trip to one of Walt Disney World’s most adored snack destinations. Since trips to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter are going to be tougher for guests to do, are these worth the effort?

A Classic Disney Beignet With an Apple Pie Twist

The treats are coated in cinnamon sugar, topped with a spoonful of warm apple compote, crisscrossed with white icing, and finished with red, white, and blue star sprinkles. Let’s start with the obvious: the beignets themselves are excellent. That probably won’t surprise anyone who has visited Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter before. The resort has built a loyal following around its Mickey-shaped beignets, and for good reason. Fresh, hot, soft, and generously coated in cinnamon sugar, these seasonal versions deliver everything fans expect from the iconic snack.

Our food reporters described them as “exactly what you’d expect: hot, sugary, and doughy,” which is pretty much the recipe for beignet success. The patriotic addition comes from the apple pie filling, marshmallow sauce, and festive red, white, and blue sprinkles. The apple pie filling gives the dessert a distinctly Fourth of July flavor profile, helping transform a classic Disney snack into something that feels appropriate for an American summer celebration.

While the filling isn’t dramatically different from a quality canned apple pie filling, it still works well here. The warm apples and cinnamon complement the fried dough nicely, creating a dessert that genuinely tastes like the Fourth of July. The marshmallow sauce adds sweetness and creaminess to each bite, though some of our reporters felt the dessert would be even better with a dollop of whipped cream. As for the sprinkles, they don’t contribute much flavor, but they do provide a pleasant crunch and visual contrast that helps reinforce the holiday theme.

Scat Cat’s Club Café and Lounge

Located at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, Scat Cat’s Club has become one of Walt Disney World’s most popular resort snack destinations. The venue consists of both a lounge area featuring New Orleans-inspired cocktails and live entertainment on select evenings, along with the adjacent café that serves the resort’s famous Mickey-shaped beignets.²³

The café is widely regarded as the premier location for beignets at Walt Disney World, drawing both resort guests and visitors from across property. In addition to classic beignets, the menu frequently rotates seasonal specialty versions throughout the year. The resort’s New Orleans theming makes Scat Cat’s Club a perfect fit for the French Quarter atmosphere,

The Fourth of July Beignets are a fun seasonal twist on one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved snacks. The apple pie filling successfully captures the spirit of Independence Day, while the classic Port Orleans beignets remain the true star of the show. Although the filling doesn’t elevate the dessert into must-have territory, it does enough to justify seeking out this limited-time offering.

These aren’t revolutionary, but they are festive, shareable, and undeniably delicious. If you already love Port Orleans beignets, you’ll almost certainly enjoy this patriotic version. The holiday toppings enhance the experience without distracting from what makes these treats special in the first place.
