The 2026 Epcot International Festival of the Arts runs through February 23, transforming Walt Disney World into a vibrant gallery of creativity. This fan-favorite event celebrates three distinct disciplines: visual, performing, and culinary arts.

Guests can enjoy the Disney on Broadway Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre, featuring stars like Sierra Boggess and James Monroe Iglehart. For foodies, over 20 Food Studios serve “edible art,” including the new Figment Fantasy Cake and a Wagyu Bun in Japan. Visual art highlights include the Disney Lorcana Collection Quest, Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt, and interactive photo ops where you can step into classic masterpieces. Whether you’re watching live performance painting at CommuniCore Plaza or completing the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, the 2026 festival offers an immersive experience for every palette.

If you’re heading to the 2026 Epcot International Festival of the Arts, there is one dessert that is already stealing the spotlight at Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey: the Figment Fantasy Cake. This year, the Odyssey Pavilion has been transformed into a tribute to many Walt Disney World fan’s favorite purple dragon, and this cake is the literal “icing” on the festival.

We suspect that the Odyssey Pavilion at Epcot will be busy every day of the Festival of the Arts. So, here is our full review of this whimsical new treat to help you decide about braving the crowds at Epcot. Should you try the Figment Fantasy Cake or skip it to save room for all the other fabulous food options at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

The Review: Figment Fantasy Cake

The Presentation

Disney’s culinary team went all out on the “art” side of the Festival of the Arts with this one. The cake is a vibrant purple sponge, perfectly echoing Figment’s iconic hue. It’s topped with a smooth, rich white chocolate ganache and a splash of orange icing (representing his horns and sweater). The “wow” factor comes from the two white chocolate Figment wings perched on top, making it one of the most Instagrammable snacks of 2026.

Figment Fantasy Cake

Of course, this is the Festival of the Arts. The Walt Disney World chefs attempt to create works of art you can eat. Still, sometimes the pretty food item ends up being something guests wish they had skipped. How does the Figment Fantasy Cake hold up to the taste test?

The Taste & Texture

Figment Fantasy Cake
  • The Cake: The sponge is surprisingly light and airy. Unlike some theme park cakes that can be dry, the moisture level here is spot on. However, in fairness, we did taste some versions of this cake that did get dry. We can see that being an issue as the festival continues.
  • The Filling: The strawberry whipped cream inside provides a refreshing, fruity burst that cuts through the sweetness of the ganache. It’s not overly sugary, which is a relief for those who find Disney desserts a bit “much.”
  • The Topping: The white chocolate ganache is nice. When you get a bite that includes the orange icing and the strawberry cream, it tastes like a sophisticated version of a fruit-and-cream crepe. However, the white chocolate wings taste average at best.

Festival of the Arts

At $5.79, this is a solid value for a festival dish. It’s large enough to share but light enough that it won’t ruin your appetite for a stop at L’Art de la Cuisine Française later. Whether you’re a die-hard Figment fan or just looking for a beautiful dessert, this makes a nice choice at the 2026 Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
