Fans can preview the new Disney Lakeshore Lodge at Flatiron Plaza in NYC with a 3D mural. New Yorkers are getting an exclusive, immersive sneak peek at Walt Disney World’s newest resort hotel. Today, Disney Experiences invited locals and visitors alike to discover the magic of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge through an expansive 3D street mural located in the heart of Flatiron Plaza. Created by world-renowned street muralist Tracy Lee Stum, the eye-catching installation gives fans a fun photo opportunity inspired by Daydream River, the resort’s signature lazy river experience.

  • What: Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge 3D Street Mural Pop-Up Event
  • When: Today, Oct. 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Where: The corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan (Flatiron Plaza)
  • The Artist: Tracy Lee Stum, an acclaimed American street muralist known worldwide for her interactive 3D chalk art, including a 2006 Guinness World Record for the largest individual chalk painting.

Visitors can step directly onto the sidewalk installation to capture photos and videos of themselves “floating” down Daydream River, offering a fun preview of the relaxing atmosphere coming to Walt Disney World.

Opening July 1, 2027, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will be a deluxe waterfront retreat along the shores of Bay Lake. Inspired by Walt Disney’s lifelong love for the outdoors, the resort celebrates nature through the art of Disney animation. Guests will spot subtle design touches, earthy palettes, and original artwork inspired by classic films such as Bambi, Pocahontas, Encanto, and Brother Bear.

The resort will feature 967 accommodations, ranging from studios and spacious multi-room villas to brand-new one- and two-bedroom waterfront Lake Houses. Located just a short, scenic boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park, the property will offer unique dining options, whimsical recreation, and relaxing amenities immersed in nature. This exciting announcement joins a massive wave of expansion across Walt Disney World, including newly announced themed lands like Tropical Americas 2027.

How and When to Book Your Stay

If you are planning a trip to stay at Disney Lakeshore Lodge 2027, reservation booking windows begin very soon:

  • Oct. 6: Disney Vacation Club Members receive first access by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800.
  • Oct. 7: Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can book by calling (407) 934-7639.
  • Oct. 8: General public reservations open online, by phone at (407) 934-7639, or through authorized travel agents.
