We Have a Legacy Store Update!

The Legacy Story reopens Friday, April 24, 2026. This new store will feature exclusive retro merchandise and larger-than-life photo ops inspired by beloved Universal Studios Florida attractions and films from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, including E.T., Jaws, Back to the Future, and the Classic Universal Monsters. Additionally, we know during the next few months, a Universal Collection from artist Tom Whalen will be released, starting with a Jaws line next month.

Universal Orlando Resort is cranking up the CityWalk dining and shopping excitement with announcements that will delight both nostalgic fans and foodies. The entertainment hub is preparing for a “legacy” return and a fresh take on a classic burger experience.

The news theme park fans have been expecting is official: the Universal Legacy Store is officially returning in late April. Known for its deep dives into the resort’s storied past, the store will once again feature exclusive retro merchandise and immersive photo opportunities.

Whether you’re a fan of E.T. Adventure, the classic Jaws ride, or the time-traveling antics of Back to the Future, this location is your new home base for all things vintage Universal. It will also celebrate the legendary Universal Monsters that started it all. To make this return possible, the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center will close its doors on April 13.

A Fresh Flip: Five Guys Joins the Lineup

Hungry for something new? The burger chain Five Guys is bringing its legendary made-to-order burgers and mountain of fries to Universal CityWalk Orlando later this summer. The new restaurant will be taking over the spot currently occupied by the Burger King Whopper Bar. Fans of the flame-grilled king should plan their final visit soon, as the Whopper Bar is scheduled to close permanently on April 21. Five Guys will provide a premium, fast-casual upgrade to the second-floor dining area, ideal for a quick and filling meal before heading into the parks.

While the Legacy Store and Five Guys are the immediate stars, don’t forget that country music superstar Luke Combs is also making a splash. His massive new entertainment venue, Category 10, is slated to bring live music and a vibrant waterfront atmosphere to CityWalk in 2027.
