CineSational nighttime spectacular at Universal Studios Florida, now features drones in addition to fireworks, and iconic film music. Running through August 24.
With the regulations permitting drone shows no longer being an obstacle, Universal Orlando Resort returned to using drones during its nighttime spectacular at Universal Studios Florida. This follows SeaWorld Orlando adding drones to its Ignite Fireworks show for the Summer Spectacular.
CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular at Universal Studios Florida is a nighttime lagoon show that fuses stirring music, cutting-edge tech, and cinematic nostalgia. Lasting about 22 minutes, it ranks among Florida’s longest theme park nighttime offerings and runs on select evenings.
CineSational Nighttime Spectacular
At its core, the CineSational nightime spectacular unleashes a powerful symphony of iconic film scores, from Harry Potter and Jurassic World, to Ghostbusters, Shrek, Trolls, and Minions. These epic themes are set to an original musical arrangement, bringing each sequence to life through transcendent emotional storytelling.
The visuals are equally astounding: choreographed fountains reach up to 131 ft, 4K projection mapping transforms lagoon facades into immersive canvases, and fireworks punctuate dramatic crescendos. The drones came back on the night of June 16.
The CineSational nighttime spectacular show is set to run through August 24th at Universal Studios Florida. Mike Aiello shared a video of the drones being back.
Mike Aiello is the senior director of entertainment creative development at Universal Orlando Resort. With over 25 years at the company, he’s been a driving force behind many of its signature experiences, most notably Halloween Horror Nights.
He began his Universal journey in 1996, working as a Jaws skipper and performer in live shows, before transitioning into show writing and creative leadership. Deeply passionate about film, magic, and horror since childhood, Mike channels that enthusiasm into blockbuster attractions, immersive mazes, and lagoon spectacles, like CineSational.
