The Burger King Game Day menu arrives Oct. 6 with a Pretzel Burger, Chicken Fries with Nacho Cheese Sauce, and a $5,000 sweepstakes.

Football season just got a drive-thru. The Burger King Game Day menu hits participating U.S. restaurants on October 6, bringing a Pretzel Burger and a nacho cheese dunking situation for Chicken Fries.

What Is on the Burger King Game Day Menu?

Burger King announced the stadium inspired lineup on September 29, and it comes down to two new items. The Game Day Pretzel Burger is the headliner, and the Chicken Fries with Nacho Cheese Sauce are the sidekick.

ItemWhat You Get
Game Day Pretzel BurgerA 100% flame grilled ΒΌ pound beef patty (weight before cooking) with melty American cheese, crispy bacon, crispy onions and Nacho Cheese Sauce, served on a warm SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel Bun
Chicken Fries with Nacho Cheese SauceBurger King’s classic Chicken Fries served with a side of Nacho Cheese Sauce for dipping

The Pretzel Burger swaps the usual bun for a SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel Bun, and Burger King teamed up with the pretzel brand to make it happen. Pretzel, cheese, bacon, and crispy onions are basically a tailgate in a wrapper. Meanwhile, the Chicken Fries are not changing at all. They get a cup of nacho cheese to swim in, which is honestly the most efficient menu development possible.

When Does the Menu Start?

Both items arrive at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide on Tuesday, October 6, for a limited time this fall. Burger King has not announced pricing or an end date for the Burger King Game Day menu items themselves, so check your local restaurant and the BK app. Availability can vary by location because the menu is at participating restaurants.

The timing is fun, because it is also the day the McDonald’s Monopoly Game returns. October 6 is shaping up to be a heavyweight fast food matchup, and your arteries should probably stretch beforehand.

Burger King Game Day Sweepstakes

Burger King is also launching a four week digital sweepstakes for Royal Perks members. Weekly prizes include cash of up to $5,000 and BK branded items, including $20 BK Digital Gift Cards, Mini Coolers, Football and Net Sets, and Cornhole Sets. Members can enter with an eligible purchase or by redeeming Royal Perks crowns, and the entry page at bk.com/Gameday opens October 6.

The fine print matters here. No purchase is necessary, and the sweepstakes ends November 1, 2026. It is open to Royal Perks members who are legal residents of the 48 contiguous U.S. states and D.C., age 18 or older (19 or older in Alabama and Nebraska), and it is void in Alaska, Hawaii, and where prohibited. Check the official rules for the free method of entry and odds.

Burger King Tested This Menu in Columbus First

If this sounds familiar, you may have spotted it before. In January 2025, Burger King tested a Game Day Pretzel Whopper and Nacho Chicken Fries in Columbus, Ohio. The test burger used the same quarter pound patty and SuperPretzel bun, but it also had pickles, and the Chicken Fries were breaded in tortilla chips rather than being the classic version. The national lineup looks a little different. It is called the Game Day Pretzel Burger, the press release does not list pickles, and the Chicken Fries are the regular recipe with nacho cheese on the side.

The Allrecipes writer who tried the Columbus test items called the pretzel bun the star of the show, but felt the burger needed more nacho cheese, since the sauce was barely noticeable. The tortilla crusted fries were crispy but a bit salty, and the reviewer suggested regular Chicken Fries with a side of nacho cheese might be the better balance. That is a very happy accident for the national version, because that is basically what Burger King is selling now. Whether the national burger has a more generous hand with the sauce remains to be seen.

What Burger King Is Saying

Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King US&C, said game day is about more than the game, framing the menu around “bringing people together over delicious and fun food.” It is a fitting pitch for a brand that has been busy lately, following the Dragon Ball Super menu and the new chicken nuggets rollout.

Should You Run to Burger King for the Game Day Menu?

Honest guidance for now: the Pretzel Burger sounds like a solid, carb heavy comfort burger, and the pretzel bun is the most promising part based on the test market feedback. The Chicken Fries with Nacho Cheese Sauce are the low risk pick, since you already know what Chicken Fries taste like. If you plan to enter the sweepstakes, sign up for Royal Perks first and read the official rules. We will be sharing our own thoughts once we have tried both items.
