Both Disney World water parks reopen for the first time since 2019! Explore Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and summer deals from May to September 2025.

As Walt Disney World previously announced, for the first time (in forever) since 2019, both Disney World water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, are open simultaneously. This offers guests a whole summer of splash-filled fun. From May 21 through September 7, 2025, visitors can enjoy the unique experiences of both parks, marking a significant milestone in Walt Disney World’s post-pandemic recovery.
Now, guests can explore the frosty-themed Blizzard Beach, featuring attractions like Summit Plummet, one of the world’s tallest and fastest free-fall body slides, and the kid-friendly Frozen-themed play area. Also, Blizzard Beach is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Meanwhile, Typhoon Lagoon offers a tropical escape with one of North America’s largest wave pools and the relaxing Castaway Creek lazy river.
Walt Disney World Water Parks

To enhance the guest experience, Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests receive complimentary water park admission on their check-in day throughout 2025. This perk lets families start their vacation with a splash at either water park. Walt Disney World has also announced that complimentary Disney World water park admission for hotel guests on their check-in day will return in Summer 2026. Additionally, Walt Disney World offers various summer promotions, including up to 30% off resort stays, discounted multi-day park tickets, and the return of the free dining plan for select dates.

For those seeking nighttime excitement, the H2O Glow After Hours event at Typhoon Lagoon returns on select nights from May 23 through September 13. This after-dark party features illuminated attractions, shorter wait times, complimentary snacks, and appearances by Toy Story characters. Tickets are available at discounted rates for children, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club members.

With all six Disney World parks—four theme parks and two water parks—operating together for the first time in over five years, summer 2025 presents an opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in the full spectrum of Disney magic. Whether you’re seeking thrilling water slides or relaxing river rides, this summer promises unforgettable experiences for visitors of all ages.
