MSC Cruises has officially opened sales for its newest World Class vessel, the MSC World Atlantic, which is set to begin year-round cruises from Port Canaveral starting November 13, 2027. But the biggest buzz surrounds the ship’s famous connection: Drew Barrymore.
Barrymore, the actress and host of the Drew Barrymore Show, has expanded her role in the MSC family. Already the godmother of the sister ship, MSC World America, Barrymore affectionately declared herself the “cool god aunt” of the new MSC World Atlantic in a signature, whimsical video released today.
“When MSC Cruises first asked me to be the godmother of MSC World America, I was a little bit shy about it. I wasn’t sure I was right for the role. Then once I cut that ribbon last April, I went from shy to totally honored and I couldn’t be prouder! And now that pride extends to being MSC World Atlantic’s god aunt. I’ll be the cool god aunt!” Barrymore shared.
