Magic Kingdom offers plenty of snack options. Which ones qualify as the best Magic Kingdom snacks for your visit to Walt Disney World? We often find ourselves hungry while visiting the Magic Kingdom. Snacks provide a solution to hunger. However, among the four Walt Disney World theme parks, Magic Kingdom offers the weakest overall theme park snack lineup. That does not mean the world’s most attended theme park lacks decent snack options. Which Magic Kingdom snacks make the best option for your Disney visit?

Magic Kingdom offers guests many quick-service dining locations. However, most quick-service dining options offer standard theme park fare, like burgers, chicken tenders, and fries. Still, guests looking for snacks can find many options at those places and the smaller snack kiosks around Magic Kingdom.

Best Magic Kingdom Snacks: Main Criteria

Since we needed some standards to determine if a menu item was a snack or a legitimate full meal, the fairest one we came up with was price. Though this is not a perfect determining factor, it helped avoid people saying a lobster roll at Columbia Harbour House was a snack. Yes, we have heard that from colleagues.

Thus, anything under $10 before tax meets our snack criteria. Based on that, here is our current list of the best Magic Kingdom snacks.

Best Magic Kingdom Snacks: Dole Soft Serve (Dole Whip)

For many guests getting a Dole soft serve at Magic Kingdom stands as a must-do every visit. Most of this involves a nostalgic attraction to Dole Whip. Guests can find this sweet treat at Aloha Isle or Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Truly, no list of Disney snacks would be complete without the famous Dole Whip. This pineapple soft-serve is refreshing, dairy-free, and perfect for a Florida afternoon. You can enjoy it in a cup or as a float with pineapple juice.

We prefer to get our Walt Disney World Dole soft serve at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Of course, we also like to buy it at Schwab’s Pharmacy or Wimpy’s Burgers at Universal Orlando Resort, as it costs less there and we receive a 15% annual pass discount.

When we order Dole soft serve at Magic Kingdom, we often get the coconut version or the swirled variety at Aloha Isle. Sure, some experienced Walt Disney World visitors express that the original pineapple flavor qualifies as the only acceptable option. Once again, we will leave that debate up to your group.

Cheeseburger Spring Roll

Best Magic Kingdom Snacks

Anothere iconic Magic Kingdom snack can be found at the Adventureland Spring Roll Cart, the Cheeseburger Spring Roll. This snack costs $9.50. Guests receive two spring rolls. These make a hearty snack even though we still feel the pain when the price went up two dollars overnight with no warning. NO, we are not bitter…at least that is what we tell our therapist!

The snack cart can be found at the entrance to Adventureland from the main hub area of Magic Kingdom. Additionally, guests can mix or match getting a Pepperoni Spring Roll at this cart. Also, sometimes the pepperoni version is replaced with another seasonal option. However, we have not seen that in some time.

Best Magic Kingdom Snacks: Cheshire Cat Tail

Best Magic Kingdom Snacks

Magic Kingdom guests looking for a sweet and safe option should head to the Cheshire Café on the edge of Fantasyland. The Cheshire Cat Tail costs $6.29. While this snack tastes like most pastries with some frosting on top, there is something magical about getting one at the Cheshire Café.

Found near the Mad Tea Party, the Cheshire Cat Tail is a whimsical pastry twist filled with chocolate and topped with pink and purple icing. It’s flaky, sweet, and photogenic. This also makes an excellent option for an afternoon sugar rush.

Additionally, guests should consider the Pepper Jack Pretzel at the Cheshire Cat Café. It costs $7.29 and makes a filling snack. Most guests prefer this over the cream cheese-filled pretzel at the Lunching Pad. However, these snacks can be less appetizing and appealing during warm Florida weather months.

Gaston’s Tavern – Take Your Pick Here

Despite the limited seating space, Gaston’s Tavern offers plenty of options to be on a list of the best Magic Kingdom snacks. Of course, we have to start with the cinnamon roll here. Sure, we miss the old version on Main Street U.S.A. However, this cinnamon roll works well if you get it before noon. Also, ask for extra icing when you order- it is complimentary. Many guests find the cinnamon roll to be a good balance of sweet but not too sweet.

Also, the Crème Brulee Croissant, a “Crispy Croissant Dough filled with Vanilla Bean Custard,” might be better than the cinnamon roll. Once again, we will let you take your pick here.

Candied Bacon Skewer at Westward Ho

This best Magic Kingdom snack put our ten-dollar limit to the test. At $9.99, the Candied Bacon Skewers at Westward Ho, this often-overlooked food and beverage kiosk in Frontierland, offer plenty to like. The bacon comes brown sugar-coated and served with chips. If you ask nicely, you can often get this without the chips for a dollar less.

Still, let’s be honest…Bacon is almost always excellent. Additionally, brown sugar is great. The bacon comes on a stick. I mean…who does not like snacks on sticks? This best Magic Kingdom snacks rolls all those things up into one tasty treat.
