Twisted Tails Pretzels in the Pantopia area of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay offers several pretzels that are not listed on the online menu. We went intending to try the Pizza Pretzel again, as some colleagues had recommended it as a good option at Twisted Tails Pretzels. By the way, when we tried it a few months ago, it wasn’t.

However, Twisted Tails Pretzels was out of Pepperoni Pretzels when we visited. So, we turned to the Cuban Stuffed Pretzel. To our knowledge, no Florida theme park sells such an option.

Cuban Stuffed Pretzel from Twisted Tails Busch Gardens Tampa Bay – $13.79

The Cuban Stuffed Pretzel resembles a sandwich more closely than it does a traditional pretzel. Guests can add a dipping sauce for this item at an additional charge of $2.29. This pretzel counts as one of the “Signature Pretzels” at Twisted Tails Pretzels. We purchased a dipping sauce of Dijon mustard to accompany the Cuban Stuffed Pretzel.

What’s Inside the Cuban Stuffed Pretzel?

This entrée presents guests with a hefty portion size. Still, paying extra for the dipping sauce lowers the overall value of this theme park menu item. We cut it open to find ham, pork, pickles, and a thin layer of cheese. This works much like a greasy sandwich, so be sure to have plenty of napkins or use a fork and knife, as we did.

The pretzel flavor was slightly above average. In fairness, we got one fresh from the oven. We suggest that you order something not pre-prepared when dining here, so you can have a fresh one. You may need to wait longer, but it should be worth it.

If you think of this as a sandwich instead of a pretzel, you start to see it as a reasonable theme park value. Of course, this does not taste like an authentic Cuban sandwich. Still, by theme park standards, this makes a decent option with the pork flavor. However, the “pretzel” tastes very bready, as you should expect. The filling of the Cuban Stuffed Pretzel does not reach the amount commonly found in the sandwich. The interior components are of average theme park quick-service quality. For a theme park “sandwich,” it tastes good but not great.

Should You Use the Dining Plan for the Cuban Stuffed Pretzel?

The Cuban Stuffed Pretzel is a poor choice for those using the All-Day Dining Plan, as it comes with just this and a sauce as a side. However, this would be very filling for most guests. They could even share it if so desired. Nonetheless, with more expensive and more desirable entrees, such as those with sides like fries, to use the All-Day Dining Plan for, we would not choose to use it at Twisted Tails. Still, it would be a filling entrée for most guests as they enjoy their day at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Twisted Tails Pretzels at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a popular quick-service spot located in the Pantopia area of the park. While the covered kiosk-style dining location features several pretzel items on the official menu, many guests discover additional offerings that aren’t listed online. Known for its creative take on traditional soft pretzels, Twisted Tails serves options like the Pepperoni Pretzel and the unique Cuban Stuffed Pretzel.

This eatery specializes in “Signature Pretzels” with hearty fillings, often paired with dipping sauces for an additional charge.
