Craving a quick bite at Busch Gardens? Our Tot Topia Snack Review dives into the $5 Mac and Cheese Bites, a summer offering. Find out if they’re worth it.

We are starting to think we have an obsession with the relatively new Busch Gardens Tampa Bay quick-service stand, Tot Topia. Just yesterday, we visited Tot Topia to try the Loaded Cheesy Tots. A theme park review of that entrée will appear in the future as a part of our dining review series that publishes every weekday at noon Eastern Time.
Tot Topia at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a quick-service dining location in the Pantopia area, specializing in loaded tater tots. It offers generous portions with various toppings like smoked brisket, chicken, bacon, and multiple cheeses, providing a hearty and satisfying snack or meal option.

However, today, on July 1, we visited Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to try one of the $5 summer snacks served Monday through Thursday for a Tot Topia Snack Review. Since it was a Tuesday, we could get Mac and Cheese Bites as a $5 snack. Officially, the snack items are subject to change without notice. Additionally, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay pass members are “officially” not eligible for food discounts.

During our visit, we had a $10 credit that we chose to use on food. We ordered two servings of the $5 Mac and Cheese Bites. With our credit, we ended up not paying anything, for the record, so you can do the math and consider the tax issue.
Tot Topia Snack Review – Mac and Cheese Bites at Busch Gardens

Each order contains five mac and cheese bites. These come in triangle form. Additionally, each order comes with a small container of marinara sauce for dipping. The interior of the bites looks like Kraft Mac and Cheese. However, unlike the Mac and Cheese Bites at Grab-N-Goof at CommuniCore Hall at Epcot, the accompanying sauce does not overwhelm the mac and cheese flavor. In fairness, the marinara sauce at Tot Topia is not as good as the ranch dressing served with the mac and cheese bites at Epcot.

However, the Tot Topia mac and cheese bites themselves offer a reasonable cheese flavor. Still, they taste like a $5 theme park snack. The exterior coating is fine, but nothing fabulous. As you might expect, these taste like they came from the frozen section at Sam’s Club or Costco. For the record, we enjoy that style of frozen appetizers.
Tot Topia Snack Review: $5 Option

However, these do not match up well against the value and flavor of the $5 hot dogs at Gwazi Dogs during previous summer weekday promotions. Still, these make a decent snack but not much else. For about $5, we enjoyed this simple theme park snack.
Other $5 Snack Options at Tot Topia This Summer
- Monday: Corn Dog
- Wednesday: Beer-Battered Shrimp
- Thursday: Spinach & Cheese Empanadas
We have visited Tot Topia several times since it opened, when it replaced a standard theme park quick-service pizza stand. The Busch Gardens ambassadors have been very kind and concerned about the well-being of guests during all of our visits.
