Planning to use Epic Universe early entry? See what’s open, what’s changed, and how to make the most of your Universal Orlando morning.
Early park admission at Universal Orlando Resort can be a massive asset to your theme park day. All guests staying at one of the Universal Orlando Resort hotels have one hour of early park admission to Universal Epic Universe. The early park admission procedures changed at Universal Epic Universe from the opening day procedures.
During the previews and the opening weeks of Universal Epic Universe, Celestial Park and Super Nintendo World were the only sections open for early park admission. All attractions in those worlds were open during the early park admission hours.
However, that has changed. According to the Universal Orlando Resort website, six attractions are open for early park admission at Universal Epic Universe. Those include:
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
- Yoshi’s Adventure
- Stardust Racers
- Constellation Carousel
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
- Curse of the Werewolf.
Changes to Epic Universe Early Entry
Epic Universe early entry now gives guests access to three themed lands, including Dark Universe. This allows guests to ride Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Curse of the Werewolf during that early park admission hour.
However, Epic Universe early entry no longer includes every Super Nintendo World ride—plan accordingly. If you’re planning to take advantage of Epic Universe early entry, it’s important to know which rides are open. If you have consulted with resources about how to do early park admission previously, you may have planned to visit Mine-Cart Madness, the Donkey Kong roller coaster, first thing in the day with early park admission. That plan no longer works.
This change should not come as a surprise, as Mine-Cart Madness has been known to lack reliability, especially in the morning. We visited on more than one occasion, on which Mine-Cart Madness failed to open on time for early park admission.
With three different worlds to visit during early park admission at Universal Epic Universe, this should spread out the crowds more. However, the theme park will still be busy during the early park admission hour. We wish you luck enjoying your day at Universal Epic Universe.
