Busch Gardens Tampa Bay hosts Howl-O-Scream each year during spooky season. Like Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida, this event operates as a separately ticketed experience held on select evenings. Howl-O-Scream in Tampa runs from September 5 through November 2 on select evenings.
For Friday the 13th this year, Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream invites guests to visit Stranglewood Estates. This “house” has been a haunted house featured at the Howl-O-Scream event for several years. We walked through it last year as a part of the 2024 “Scary and Merry” style event. Additionally, we visited this house on several occasions during the Howl-O-Scream event.

However, for 2025, Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream invites guests to revisit the Stranglewood Estates on June 13-14. The Busch Gardens Tampa Bay website states, “The nightmare you’ve tried to forget is opening its doors…join us for an Open House and Estate Sale at the infamous Stranglewood Estate. The spacious living areas are ideal for entertaining, if your guests don’t mind the occasional scream from the walls or the feeling of being watched. Quiet nights are rare here. The house breathes. It remembers. And it waits.
Downstairs, you’ll find a full basement, large enough to hide the occasional victim, with heavy tapestries thick enough to absorb all kinds of screams.
