The Disney Villains show brings fan-favorite villains to life with music, tech, and laughs. Learn why it’s worth the wait at Hollywood Studios.

May 27 served as opening day for two new shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” and “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure.” This day proved to be a busy one, as guests attempted to see both shows, with each having much longer waits than one would expect in a few weeks. Based on our time and other theme park assignments we had that day, we waited in line for the “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” show.

“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” replaced the former Lightning McQueen-themed show that formerly resided near the Rock n’ Roller Coaster attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney World has done a full retheming of the area. They also added a merchandise kiosk with products fitting for this Disney Villains show.
“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After”

During our visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the anticipation for the “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” show was high. Many people waited outside for a significant amount of time to see this new show. We waited about 35 minutes to see the new show.

The theatre has been transformed from its previous “Cars” theme. The stage area features multiple screens of varying sizes. These play a key role in the show. Guests should expect to hear from the Magic Mirror (on the wall), which narrates the wicked madness of this show. The show lasts about 17-18 minutes.
Walt Disney World describes the new Disney Villains show this way: “Enter the realm of the Magic Mirror—where dozens of villains are trapped! They want the Mirror to reveal the truth: which villain has been treated the most unfairly of them all?
Watch as Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent present their cases on stage, persuading with wicked wisdom and wisecracks. Will you be swayed by their hijinks and humor?
It’s a spellbinding show with moving music and a most memorable finale—where you help decide who has been treated most unfairly.”
Disney Villains Show: Our Experience

Despite the wait to see this show, we enjoyed it. This air-conditioned theatre provides a lovely setting for the new show. The musical numbers will entertain guests over and over. Guests should be aware that the show is heavily reliant on video and technology. We only saw three cast members perform during the show. However, that did not diminish the experience.
Guests will step into a wickedly wonderful world at “Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Fans can celebrate the iconic mischief-makers who steal the spotlight in spectacular style. Of xourse, guests may want to boo some of them.
This immersive, high-energy experience brings your favorite villains to life with dazzling performances, dramatic flair, and delightfully dark magic. From the hypnotic charm of Maleficent to the fierce glamour of Cruella, each moment is spellbinding, bold, and unforgettable. It’s daring, mischievous, and utterly unforgettable because every villain deserves their moment to shine (or at least to be understood).
Fans of the Disney Villains will appreciate this show. It makes an excellent prelude to the eventual Villains’ land arriving at Magic Kingdom sometime in the future. Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios should allocate some time to attend this show. We anticipate that the waits will be shorter after the initial excitement wears off.
