On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Adventure Island in Tampa will celebrate Noche de San Juan from 7:00 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. At this event, guests can spend time with the DJ’s from Rumba 95.7, and enjoy this traditional celebration with their group. This event allows people the opportunity to celebrate Noche de San Juan and perhaps lock in a year of good luck.
Adventure Island Noche de San Juan
Noche de San Juan, celebrated on June 23rd, is a vibrant and mystical festival held in many Spanish-speaking countries, particularly in Spain and Puerto Rico. Rooted in ancient pagan traditions, the holiday honors Saint John the Baptizer and marks the arrival of the summer solstice. As night falls, people gather on beaches to light bonfires, symbolizing purification and the warding off of evil spirits.
In Puerto Rico, it’s traditional to walk backward into the ocean and fall into the water three or seven times at midnight for good luck. Fireworks, music, dancing, and feasting are standard as communities celebrate. The festival blends “Christian” and pre-Christian customs, creating a unique cultural experience. For many, it’s a night of renewal, reflection, and hope for the future. Noche de San Juan beautifully showcases the deep connection between tradition, nature, and communal spirit in Hispanic cultures.

This is a separately ticketed event. General single-day tickets will not be valid for admission. All guests (including Fun Card holders and Pass Members) must purchase an Adventure Island Noche de San Juan event ticket to receive entry. Event tickets start at $29.99. Pricing is subject to change.
Food, drinks, and merchandise will be available for purchase. Alcoholic beverages must be consumed by a person 21 years of age or older. Adventure Island will also have AquaGlow Nights this year, like the event at SeaWorld Orlando.
