We revisited the Tempura Battered Sushi at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival. Find out if this festival food option is worth your money.

United Parks & Resorts theme parks recreate several festival items that appear periodically during food festivals. During the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando, one of those items appears at the Asian Market.
The Asian Market resides near the water attraction, Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando. This food festival location serves an ice cream dessert, a vegetable bowl, and Tempura Battered Sushi.
We tried the Tempura Battered Sushi on the opening weekend of the Seven Seas Food Festival. Of course, we must try items again to see how they hold up regarding preparation and quality. When we tried this previously, we thought it was an average to above-average festival food item. We doubt most people will make this at home, which helped it get a higher perspective from us on the previous visit. Still, it was not as good as the one we had during Howl-O-Scream.
Tempura Battered Sushi at SeaWorld – How Would It Be This Time?

The Tempura Battered Sushi at the Seven Seas Food Festival costs $11.99 without a sampler lanyard (or a free passholder sample like we used to try it). That price does not equal the quality received for three round-shaped sushi. Do not forget that the price does not include tax and the often-annoying 5% surcharge at SeaWorld Orlando. The menu description reads, “Fried California Roll with Wasabi Cream and Thai Chili Sauce.”
On our most recent visit, we did not get much of a spicy kick from our first bite. With wasabi creme and Thai chili sauce, we expected more. Having served in international missions in Southeast Asia, we know Thai chili sauce. This was not it.

However, on our second bite, we experienced some spicy kick. It was nothing anyone would find too powerful, but at least it was there this time.
We found this festival food item to be good. It also counts as a “safe” option for most guests wanting to try something non-traditional. Anyone using a pre-paid sampler lanyard will not be disappointed by this item. However, we still cannot recommend it at full price.
The base California roll provides what guests should expect. The cream and sauce elevate this dish. Nevertheless, it will not impress true Asian connoisseurs. Still, it is a theme park quick service California roll, so nothing ground-breaking should be expected.

We expect to see a version of this at future food events at SeaWorld Orlando. Even if you do not make it to SeaWorld before the festival ends on May 4, having a good idea of what to expect with the future version should help guests.
