May has arrived, which means several new food options at Disney Springs. With so many restaurants to choose from, diners can find it tough to choose what to eat.
Several food and beverage locations have special limited-time options in May. Guests can try the May cookies, cakes, and cold brews at Gideon’s Bakehouse. The popular Salt & Straw presents guests with flower-power ice cream flavors for the month starting May 2. In addition, City Works Eatery & Pour House designed many new menu items for guests to try on its everyday menu. May the 4th be upon us, so Walt Disney World will have Star Wars treats at The Ganachery and Amorette’s Patisserie. However, we have a few more Disney Springs updates to share with you.
Disney Springs Dining Update: Sprinkles Cupcakes

Sprinkles Cupcakes always appears to have a new or limited-time flavor for guests to try. For May, that is clearly the case. In addition to the cupcake we mentioned in the last Disney Springs Dining Update, there are three more cupcakes to sample this month. These include:

- Strawberry Shortcake Bar (Available May 5-25): Vanilla cake filled with strawberry compote, topped with strawberry buttercream frosting and scratch-made cookie crumble. This cupcake appears regularly in May.
- Pineapple Upside-Down (Available May 12- June 1): Pineapple cake filled with caramelized pineapple, topped with pineapple buttercream frosting and pineapple decoration.
- German Chocolate (Available May 26 – June 15): Light chocolate cake topped with fresh coconut and crunchy pecans laced with caramel.

Cinco de Mayo at Frontera Cocina
Of course, an authentic Mexican food place would celebrate Cinco de Mayo. However, this year, Frontera Cocina is expanding this holiday to a five-day celebration starting May 1. Since Cinco de Mayo (May 5) falls on a Monday, the year-round $7 margarita Monday special at Frontera Cocina will be very popular that day. Music will also be featured this weekend with a Mariachi band all weekend (Thurs/Fri 6–9 p.m. | Sat/Sun 12–3 p.m. | Mon 4–7 p.m.).A DJ provides music from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday through Monday nights.
Disney Springs Dining Update: Chicken Guy Limited-Time Menu Items

Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs is a quick-service restaurant created by celebrity chef Guy Fieri. It is known for its hand-pounded, all-natural chicken tenders served grilled or fried. The star attraction is the wide variety of signature sauces, over 20 to choose from. Guests also enjoy tasty sides like loaded fries and mac ‘n’ cheese.
The quick service chicken restaurant, Chicken Guy!, has two new limited-time seasonal items for guests. This place rotates a shake and a sandwich as featured items on the limited-time menu. The current options include:
- Chili Crisp Ranch Chicken Sandwich ($9.99) – Buttermilk Ranch, Chipotle Ranch, Chili crisp oil, pickles & American coleslaw
- Banana Pudding Shake ($6.99) – Vanilla soft serve, bananas, crushed vanilla wafer cookies, caramel drizzle, topped with fresh whipped cream & a vanilla wafer cookie.
Vivoli Il Gelato

Vivoli il Gelato brought back the Millennial Pink Shake. It costs $15. The sweet treat consists of strawberry sorbetto, banana gelato, whipped cream, waffle cone, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles.
