Halloween Horror Nights speculation gets deeper with hidden Easter Eggs. See how Horror Nights Nightmares teased fans and what we think the 2025 houses might be.

Halloween Horror Nights speculation has been running strong for many months now. Horror Nights Nightmares released its first official Halloween Horror Nights speculation map back in late March. Only a few weeks later, Halloween Horror Nights fans are talking about Easter Eggs.
The term “Easter Eggs“ originally comes from the tradition of hiding decorated eggs for children to find on Easter Sunday. In media and tech, that term has also taken on a metaphorical meaning. When people talk about Easter Eggs in the context of movies, TV shows, video games, or even software, they refer to hidden messages, clues, jokes, or references that aren’t immediately obvious.
In the specific case of hiding clues for future things, Easter Eggs are deliberately placed hints that point toward something that’s going to happen later, like a character’s fate, an upcoming plot twist, or a future sequel. They’re often subtle and easy to miss, but fans can look back and see how it was foreshadowed once the future event occurs.
“Easter Eggs” Examples:
- In Marvel movies, post-credit scenes often serve as Easter Eggs, teasing future films or characters.
- A video game might show a symbol or character from an upcoming sequel hidden in a level.
- In TV shows like “Breaking Bad” or “Stranger Things,” visual details or lines of dialogue may hint at what’s to come in the following seasons.
Halloween Horror Nights and Easter Eggs
Easter Eggs are ways for creators to reward attentive fans, build anticipation, and create a richer, more interconnected experience. This year, the Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) speculation season has decided to play into this idea.
Horror Night Nightmares posted on social media that HHN fans could “Get the Clue, Get the Map! The Hunt Begins Easter!” Since Horror Night Nightmares remains the top-tier source for Halloween Horror Nights speculation, this Easter Egg hunt promised added information about the houses for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
Horror Night Nightmares

Horror Night Nightmares teased fans again, indicating that the HHN “Easter Egg” hunt would begin before noon on April 20, 2025, the First Sunday of Easter, for those who celebrate. After a few hours on the Discord channel, the clues were uncovered, leading to the Easter Preview version of the Horror Night Nightmares speculation map being released.

Once again, this is just speculation, and nothing official appears on this map. However, Horror Night Nightmares has displayed amazing skill at predicting the HHN houses for each year.
Halloween Horror Nights Speculation

At first glance, we noticed numerous symbols that remain the same from the speculation map released in late March. The surveillance camera symbol, the thumbs up, and the trash bags are still on this speculation map. Those most likely represent “Five Nights at Freddy’s,””Fallout,” and “Terrifier,” respectively. Those symbols are also on the Hollywood version of the speculation map addi,ng more evidence to confirm those intellectual properties serving as houses at HHN 2025 Orlando.

That leaves seven slots for houses to ponder. We notice that the symbol of a book with snowflakes (Tent 3) returned for this speculation map. Since that symbol does not appear on the Hollywood speculation map, this probably indicates an original house. The best guess we have heard floating in the Halloween Horror Nights speculation realm leans towards a “Scary Tales” house with a winter or holiday theme.
The other two symbols on the Orlando and Hollywood maps are a coffin and a lightbulb with a ghost face. While the lightbulb could still lean towards a “Scream” house, we hear more talk about this being related to “Poltergeist.” Of course, this is fun speculation, and we are not experts in this area of theme park culture. Of course, if we hear something more concrete, we will post a blog about it at MSM News.
WWE at Halloween Horror Nights?
We have heard many things about the coffin symbol, but nothing significant enough to be reliable. Our best guess is that this is a mash-up house of some type with several popular horror characters. However, the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) rumor will not fully die. The most recent social media video by the WWE about Universal Epic Universe added to this HHN rumor. Could this be referencing The Undertaker?
Original Houses
This leaves four houses to speculate about. We should caution readers that even when we suspect Horror Night Nightmares is very confident about the HHN house identity, they do give all the houses away. The four remaining symbols include:
- Ship (Soundstage 23A)
- Cityscape inside a circle (Soundstage 24B)
- “Wanted” sign (Tent 1)
- Radio Tower (Tent 2)
In fairness, our description of those symbols may not accurately reflect Horror Night Nightmares’ intention. Still, it leaves us with a few questions.
The “Wanted” sign leans toward the rumor of some version of Hatchet and Chains, the Demon Bounty Hunters. This concept was a part of Slaughter Sinema 2 last year. Still, this might simply be a placeholder by Horror Night Nightmares until the “Original” houses become more obvious.
Regarding the ship symbol, some rumors about Vikings are the most credible. Nevertheless, this spot could be many things with such a vague symbol. Still, Universal could do many wonderful things with a Viking theme.
The final two symbols for the “Original” house at Halloween Horror Nights 2025 in Orlando still defy a consistent answer from the rumor mill. However, the rumor of Jason Voorhees being featured in a house continues to grow. Nevertheless, we do not see any resemblance to that narrative in any of the remaining symbols.
Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) at Universal Orlando Resort is one of the most anticipated spooky events in the world. Held annually in the fall, HHN transforms Universal Studios Florida into a terrifying playground of haunted houses, scare zones, and live entertainment. Each year, the event features a mix of original concepts and popular intellectual properties (IPs), including horror films, TV shows, and video games. Past themes have included “Stranger Things,””The Exorcist”, and “The Last of Us.”
What sets HHN apart is its incredibly detailed set design, immersive storytelling, and top-tier special effects. Visitors can walk through haunted houses that feel like movie sets and encounter scare actors who are fully committed to the role. Beyond the houses, scare zones take over sections of the park, filled with fog, eerie lighting, and roaming creatures ready to pounce. Whether you’re a die-hard horror fan or love a good scare, Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando offers an unforgettable thrill that keeps guests returning year after year. Halloween Horror Nights runs from August 29 through November 2 on select evenings, mostly Wednesdays through Sundays.
We will update you on any rumors and Halloween Horror Nights announcements at MSM News. You can also find other theme park-related news on our site. Also, if you want to hear about Jeremy’s and Rhonda’s visit to HHN 2024, listen to the Main Street Magic Podcast episode #703.
