Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World are launching special passholder days in May 2025, offering exclusive perks, discounts, and events amid expected lower summer crowds. Get the full scoop on dates, benefits, and what’s new this season.

Passholder Days

In a battle of dueling theme park resorts facing potential lower crowds at some of their theme parks, Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have announced passholder days for their guests. These begin in May.

Passholder Summer Days at Walt Disney World

Today, Walt Disney World announced that “V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days” will return in 2025, running from May 14 to July 31. These will include an “all-new magnet, special limited-time discounts, the return of the Passholder Lounge,” and more. These dates look suspicious since this time of year has historically been seen as busy. However, this year, the summer looks like a lower crowd level time to visit some of the Walt Disney World theme parks and a few of the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks.

Passholder Days

Speaking of Universal Olrando Resort, it will offer two sets of passholder days this year. Both periods have become standard passholder days in recent years.

Over at Universal Orlando, the passholder days look a little different. This relates to a new theme park in May, Universal Epic Universe. In May, Universal Orlando Resort passholders will enjoy extra benefits from May 1-22. These benefits include a new passholder magnet. Also, Universal Orlando Resort hosts passholders “Appreciation Days” from August 15 through September 30, 2025.
