Spotted: Kit Kat x Harry Potter Lemon Sherbet Is Real, and It’s Showing Up at Target

A new Kit Kat Lemon Sherbet bag inspired by Harry Potter’s Dumbledore was just spotted at Target, confirmed by photo. Here’s what we know.

Dumbledore’s favorite candy just got the Kit Kat treatment, and it looks like it’s already on shelves. A new Kit Kat Lemon Sherbet bag, branded with the Harry Potter name and Dumbledore’s likeness, was spotted in the wild at a Target store and shared on Instagram by @snack_time_tommy, who called out Dumbledore’s well-known taste in candy as the obvious inspiration.

A packaging photo from the find confirms this isn’t a mockup: the bag reads “Harry Potter” and “KitKat” with a “Sherbet Lemon” callout, described on-pack as “Crisp Wafers in Lemon Flavored Creme” that’s “Naturally & Artificially Flavored.” It’s a share-size bag of individually wrapped pieces rather than a standalone bar, with Dumbledore’s portrait as the main art and a small Hogwarts-themed badge in the corner.

It is not clear yet whether this is a Target exclusive or a wider retail rollout. As of publish time, we have not found a matching press release from Hershey (which holds the U.S. Kit Kat license) or from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products confirming the collaboration, so we’re treating this as a real, photographed product sighting rather than an official announcement.

Why the Kit Kat Lemon Sherbet Flavor Makes Sense

Sherbet lemon is about as canon as candy gets in this universe. It’s the first food ever mentioned in the book series, Also, it’s Dumbledore’s signature sweet, and Universal already sells a real version at Honeydukes in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, packaged in a cork-topped apothecary jar.

Hershey has also leaned harder into Harry Potter crossovers lately. The Cookies ‘n’ Crème Harry Potter “Magical Friends” line (Hedwig, Dobby, Buckbeak, Fawkes) is a real, currently running collaboration, and Kit Kat has been experimenting with novelty shapes and flavors this year, including a new “Kit Kat Counts” shape for Halloween. Nestlé’s Coffee mate also just launched its first Harry Potter flavor collection. A lemon sherbet Kit Kat fits right into that pattern.

Kit Kat Lemon Sherbet: What We Still Need to Confirm

The product and its packaging copy are confirmed by photo. A few distribution and pricing details still need to be locked down. We’re always here for Honeydukes energy showing up outside the parks, and this one’s confirmed real, not just a rumor. Credit to @snack_time_tommy for the find. We’ll update this post with pricing, net weight, and distribution details as soon as we can confirm them, or if Hershey makes it official.
