Sonic’s New Universal Monsters Wacky Pack Toys Have Arrived, and We’re Ranking All Seven
Sonic Universal Monsters toys have landed in Wacky Pack Kids Meals, with seven collectibles including Dracula, the Wolf Man, and Frankenstein’s Monster. Back in May, Sonic offered adorable Wacky Pack Hello Kitty toys. Well, things have changed!
Dracula just pulled into the drive-in lane, bringing six friends. Sonic has quietly launched a Universal Monsters lineup inside its Wacky Pack Kids Meals, swapping out the chain’s Hot Wheels Fast Foodies promotion for seven classic movie monsters done up in a decidedly kid-friendly style. It’s a Halloween tie-in, sure, but it’s also the latest sign that Universal is leaning harder into its monster IP than it has in decades, and this one comes with a drive-in cherry limeade on the side.
The Full Lineup
Sonic’s official Wacky Pack site confirms all seven collectibles in the set, mixing plastic figures, a plush, and a pair of novelty spoons:
- Dracula, a plastic figure with a removable bat-wing cape
- The Wolf Man, rendered as a plush toy
- Frankenstein’s Monster, a glow-in-the-dark figure with light-up limbs
- The Mummy, an interactive figure with a bandage button that triggers a blinking eye
- Creature from the Black Lagoon, rounding out the figure lineup
- Bride of Frankenstein, a glow-in-the-dark novelty spoon
- The Invisible Man, a color-changing spoon that reacts to temperature

A Cuter Crypt than 1997
This isn’t the monsters’ first trip through a fast food drive-through window. Burger King ran a Universal Monsters promotion back in 1997 with a lineup that leaned into the original, more menacing designs of Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Sonic’s 2026 versions take the opposite approach: rounder proportions, friendlier faces, and a palette built for a kids meal bag rather than a haunted house.
It’s a small toy line, but it lands at a moment when Universal’s classic monsters are turning up everywhere. At Epic Universe, the whole Dark Universe land is built around them, anchored by the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment dark ride inside Frankenstein Manor, where Dracula, the Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon appear among fourteen animated figures. A fan-designed Universal Monsters set from creator SpectralBricks also cleared Lego Ideas review and is headed toward an official release. Add in Universal’s own online shop, which sells plush, apparel, and figures across the same character roster, and the Sonic toys start to look less like a standalone promotion and more like one piece of a much bigger monster mash.

Wacky Pack toys live and die by shelf appeal, so here’s how we’d stack the seven, worst to best, purely on vibes:
- 7. The Invisible Man spoon. Clever gimmick, but a spoon is still a spoon.
- 6. Bride of Frankenstein spoon. Same category problem, better glow.
- 5. Creature from the Black Lagoon. Steady, dependable, a little overlooked in every version of this lineup, including this one.
- 4. The Wolf Man. A plush werewolf is objectively a good idea.
- 3. The Mummy. A blinking eye button will not survive a car ride home intact, and that’s the fun of it.
- 2. Dracula. Removable cape, and first monster confirmed. The chain’s own marketing backs us up here.
- 1. Frankenstein’s Monster. Glow-in-the-dark plus light-up limbs is doing the most, and it’s earned it.
