Disney Lorcana D23 2026 announcements include new sets, Figment at Epcot, Disney Cruise Line, Collector Boosters and a digital game. Disney Lorcana is entering an exciting new chapter, and fans received a major look at what is ahead during the Disney Lorcana panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026.

The panel, officially titled “Quests Ahead for Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game,” delivered news about upcoming card sets, new collectible products, Disney Parks activations, Disney Cruise Line experiences and perhaps the biggest announcement of the evening: a digital version of Disney Lorcana is officially in development. Ravensburger also confirmed that its Disney Lorcana plans extend through 2029 and beyond, giving fans a glimpse at just how expansive the trading card game’s future has become.

The announcements come as Disney Lorcana celebrates its third anniversary. According to Disney Parks Blog, more than 2.8 billion Disney Lorcana cards have been sold since the game launched, demonstrating the enormous growth of the trading card game in just three years. Here is everything announced during the D23 2026 Disney Lorcana panel.

Hyperia City Takes Center Stage

One of the biggest portions of the presentation focused on Hyperia City, the next major Disney Lorcana set. Hyperia City is scheduled for pre release on October 16, 2026, and transports players into a bustling metropolitan environment filled with creativity, music and new characters. The name Hyperia City pays tribute to Hyperion Studio, the historic home of Walt Disney Studios from 1926 through 1940. It was also the location where Mickey Mouse was born. The new setting will feature distinct neighborhoods representing different attributes of Illumineers and glimmers. The city will include locations such as the Greenway, Old Towne Hyperia, the Marigold District and City Center.

During the D23 presentation, Ravensburger revealed five new location cards:

  • Land of the Dead: Marigold Bridge
  • Merlin’s Shop and Smithy: Magical Market
  • Khan Industries: Greenway Landmark
  • Institute of Technology: Honey Lemon’s Lab
  • Khan Stadium: State of the Art

The panel also showcased new versions of several familiar Disney characters, including Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. Minnie appears as Urban Visionary, while Donald Duck takes on the role of Taxi Driver. Mickey Mouse is featured as Best in Town, with an Enchanted version paying tribute to the character’s famous first spoken words: “hot dog!”

Hyperia City will also introduce a new energy source to the Disney Lorcana universe. Ink drops will provide one time bursts of ink power that can be used by both heroes and villains. The set will also feature Disney Princess characters reimagined around their individual passions, along with new appearances by Pepita from Disney and Pixar’s Coco.

Disney Lorcana D23: Into the Inkdark Introduces a New Level of Collecting

Looking beyond 2026, Ravensburger offered a first look at Into the Inkdark, one of the major Disney Lorcana sets planned for 2027. The set will explore darker corners of the Disney universe, with villains taking center stage. Hades was specifically highlighted during the presentation as he works on an evil plan that players will have to stop while exploring the Dark Illuminary.

Still, Into the Inkdark is not only about new characters and stories. Ravensburger is introducing Collector Boosters, a new premium product designed for collectors searching for some of the rarest cards in the game.

Into the Inkdark

Each Collector Booster will contain 12 randomized premium foil cards featuring a special foil treatment. The packs will have a higher frequency of higher rarity cards, while standard Disney Lorcana booster packs will remain unchanged. Collector Boosters and Collector Booster Display Boxes will be available in limited quantities through Ravensburger Play Hub stores, the Ravensburger Online Store and select Disney locations.

The first card revealed for Into the Inkdark was Maleficent: Biding Her Time. The card is classified as an Illustrious card, a new rarity that will feature artwork from notable card artists. Each set will have six different Illustrious cards, with only 23 copies of each card being printed. That makes these cards particularly intriguing for serious Disney Lorcana collectors.

Disney Lorcana Heads Into Space With Cosmic Quest

The Disney Lorcana universe is also going beyond the Inklands. Cosmic Quest is coming later in 2027 and will send players into a space-themed adventure. The set will take players away from the surface of the Inklands and into a galaxy filled with cosmic inspired glimmers.

One of the characters shown during the Disney Lorcana D23 panel was Ariel in an Astrosuit, offering a first glimpse at how familiar Disney characters will be reimagined for the space setting. While details remain limited, Cosmic Quest appears poised to give Disney Lorcana another significant visual and storytelling shift.

Beauty and the Beast Gets a Curator’s Collection

Disney Lorcana collectors will also have another special release to look forward to in 2027. The next Curator’s Collection will celebrate Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and is scheduled to arrive in October 2027. The collection will coincide with the beloved animated film’s 35th anniversary and will feature characters including Belle, Beast, Gaston and the enchanted objects from the film.

The artwork draws inspiration from Beauty and the Beast’s iconic stained-glass aesthetic, giving the cards a distinctive look that evokes the original movie. Several cards were revealed during the Disney Lorcana D23 panel, including “Be Our Guest,” Mrs. Potts: Enchanted Teapot, Belle: Hidden Archer, Lumiere: Fiery Friend, Gaston: Intellectual Powerhouse and Beast: Tragic Hero. For Disney fans who also collect Lorcana, this could be one of the most anticipated releases of 2027.

Disney Lorcana Visual Guide Coming in 2027

The Disney Lorcana D23 announcements were not limited to trading cards. Ravensburger also announced the Disney Lorcana Visual Guide, a new book designed to explore the lore, artwork, and evolving story of the Disney Lorcana universe. The visual guide is scheduled to arrive February 1, 2027.

According to Disney, the book will compile artwork from numerous Disney Lorcana sets and present it at a larger scale, allowing fans to explore the art and world building behind the game in greater detail. Fans attending D23 2026 can preorder the book at the Ravensburger Store booth throughout the event.

Disney Lorcana Returns to Epcot International Festival of the Arts

Figment on a Lorcana card

For Disney Parks fans, one of the Disney Lorcana D23 panel’s most exciting announcements, previously debuted at the festival and confirmed by Ravensburger, is that Disney Lorcana will return to the Epcot International Festival of the Arts in 2027. The trading card game previously debuted at the festival, and Ravensburger confirmed the partnership will continue next year.

There is also a particularly fun Disney Parks connection coming with the return. For the first time, Figment will appear on a Disney Lorcana card. The iconic Epcot character is a natural fit for the Festival of the Arts, where creativity and imagination are at the heart of the event. The exclusive card will highlight Figment and give collectors another reason to keep an eye on the festival when it returns in 2027.

Disney has not yet announced the full details for the 2027 Epcot International Festival of the Arts, including dates, merchandise, food and entertainment. However, the inclusion of an exclusive Figment Lorcana card is already giving Disney collectors something to look forward to.

Disney Lorcana Is Expanding Across Disney Cruise Line

That expansion will include the popular Collection Quests, bringing more opportunities for guests to interact with Disney Lorcana while sailing with Disney Cruise Line. Additional details about the cruise experiences will be announced at a later date.

Disney Lorcana’s Future Looks Bigger Than Ever

Disney Lorcana D23

The Disney Lorcana D23 panel 2026 made one thing particularly clear: Ravensburger is thinking far beyond the next card set. With plans already extending through 2029 and beyond, Disney Lorcana is becoming an increasingly expansive Disney storytelling platform.

Hyperia City will arrive later this year, followed by Into the Inkdark and Cosmic Quest in 2027. Collectors will have new premium products and the Beauty and the Beast Curator’s Collection, while fans who want to dive deeper into the lore will have a new visual guide and Illumineers Lorebook.

Meanwhile, Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line are becoming an even bigger part of the Lorcana experience. Also, there is the new digital game. For a trading card game that has already sold more than 2.8 billion cards in three years, the move onto mobile and desktop could open Disney Lorcana to an entirely new audience.

The return to the Epcot International Festival of the Arts may be particularly exciting for Disney Parks fans, especially with Figment finally getting his own Disney Lorcana card.
