Golden Corral Launches $2.50 Kids Buffet Deal to Help Beat Back-to-School Expenses

The Golden Corral kids deal is back. Groups can score a $2.50 dine-in buffet and drink for children ages 4-12 every weekend through August 30 across all locations.
As the end of summer approaches and the back-to-school season kicks into high gear, American families are facing new routines, fuller calendars, and a host of added expenses. To ease the financial strain, Golden Corral is expanding its national value campaign to ensure dining out as a family remains accessible and affordable.
Starting July 31 and running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through August 30, eligible guests can take advantage of Golden Corral’s dine-in $2.50 Kids Buffet and drink promotion. The special pricing applies to children ages 4 to 12 when purchased with an adult or senior buffet on the same ticket (limit one discounted kids buffet per adult/senior purchase). Additionally, children ages 3 and under continue to eat completely free every day. The limited-time offer is valid across all service times, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Expanding the “America $2.50 Value Deals” Initiative

This national promotion represents the next phase of Golden Corral’s ongoing “America $2.50 Value Deals” campaign. Inspired by the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial 250th anniversary, the brand is rolling out continuous savings initiatives throughout 2026. This latest move builds upon earlier summer promotions. However, unlike previous exclusive app perks, the brand is opening this back-to-school deal to all dining guests.
“Delivering great value has always been at the heart of what we do, and now we’re making this offer available to every family who visits Golden Corral, not just Rewards members,” said Lance Trenary, CEO and president of Golden Corral Corporation. “By opening this deal to all guests, even more families can enjoy a delicious, affordable meal together.”
In a previous statement discussing the overarching campaign, Trenary emphasized the brand’s core mission:
“America is about choice. No one offers the variety, abundance, and total freedom of choice that Golden Corral delivers every day. However, we have always believed that at Golden Corral, gathering around the table to share a meal should be affordable and enjoyable for every guest, every day,” said Lance Trenary, CEO and president of Golden Corral Corporation. “As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we’re recognizing this historic milestone the best way we know how — by delivering exceptional value and creating memorable dining experiences for families across the country. This campaign reflects our commitment to serving communities with great food, warm hospitality, and everyday value, and we’re excited to continue the celebration through the end of the year.”
Balanced Choices with Kids LiveWell
In addition to traditional kid-friendly favorites like barbecue chicken, pizza, and macaroni and cheese, Golden Corral is making it easier for parents to select balanced meals through its partnership with the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell® program.
Diners can look for the signature Kids LiveWell carrot symbol on the buffet line to identify dishes that meet strict nutritional criteria established by leading health organizations. Featured healthy meal combinations include:
- Kid’s Fish Combo: Served with steamed broccoli, fresh fruit, and water.
- Kid’s BBQ Chicken Combo: Served with baby carrots, fresh fruit, a classic yeast roll, and water.
