Walt Disney World is once again bringing international flavor to Harambe Market in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. After months of offering a basic menu centered around burgers, chicken strips, and wraps following its refurbishment earlier this year, the quick-service location has expanded its offerings with several African-inspired dishes that longtime fans have been hoping to see return. The updated menu blends familiar favorites with brand-new creations, giving guests more authentic dining options while maintaining the crowd-pleasing classics introduced during the restaurant’s reopening.

New African-Inspired Menu Items

The highlight of the refreshed menu is the return of bold regional flavors inspired by East Africa. New additions include:

One of the most exciting additions is the Tanzanian Meat Pie, featuring African-spiced beef and lamb wrapped in naan bread. The handheld entrée brings back the type of globally inspired cuisine that formerly made Harambe Market one of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s most unique quick-service dining locations.

Harambe Chicken Bowl

Guests looking for something hearty can enjoy the new Harambe Chicken Bowl, which includes:

  • Tandoori rotisserie chicken
  • Cilantro rice
  • Kachumbari
  • Tzatziki
  • Harissa

The bowl combines fresh vegetables with warm spices and cooling sauces for a balanced meal that fits perfectly within the Africa-themed land. It returns in a different form during this menu refresh.

Harambe Beef Bowl

For beef lovers, the Harambe Beef Bowl features:

  • African-spiced beef
  • Cilantro rice
  • Kachumbari
  • Tzatziki
  • Harissa

The combination delivers bold flavors while offering another filling alternative to traditional theme park fare.

Savanna Salad

The updated Savanna Salad includes:

  • Mixed greens
  • Lentils
  • Couscous
  • Carrots
  • Kachumbari
  • Toasted almonds
  • Citrus-harissa dressing

It’s one of the healthier options available inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom and offers plenty of texture and flavor.

New Dessert

Guests can finish their meal with a new Coconut Blondie, adding another sweet option alongside Harambe Market’s existing desserts.

Walt Disney World isn’t removing the menu introduced earlier this year. Instead, the restaurant now offers a broader selection that still includes:

  • Angus Cheeseburger
  • Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Chicken Strips
  • Harissa Chicken Wrap
  • French Fries
  • Draft beers
  • Specialty cocktails
  • Non-alcoholic beverages

This expanded lineup gives guests traveling with picky eaters more flexibility while still offering adventurous options for those wanting something beyond standard theme park burgers.

Harambe Market at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Located in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Harambe Market is designed as a bustling open-air marketplace inspired by an East African village. The quick-service restaurant features multiple ordering windows, shaded outdoor seating, and immersive storytelling that fits seamlessly into the fictional village of Harambe.

Unlike many quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World, Harambe Market became know for offering globally inspired cuisine rather than traditional theme park staples. Its previous menu featured rice bowls, grilled meats, and unique African flavors that earned a loyal following among Walt Disney World food fans. This updated Harambe Market menu brings the quick-service back in line with what it used to be.

Following its temporary closure and refurbishment in late 2025, the restaurant reopened earlier this year with a streamlined menu focused primarily on burgers and chicken. While convenient, many guests expressed disappointment over the loss of Harambe Market’s signature international offerings.

Harambe Market Menu: A Welcome Change for Disney Food Fans

The latest Harambe Market menu update appears to strike a balance between operational efficiency and the unique culinary identity that made Harambe Market so popular. By keeping burgers and chicken strips while adding flavorful bowls, salads, and specialty entrées, Walt Disney World is once again making Harambe Market a destination rather than simply another quick-service stop.

For guests spending a full day exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, and Expedition Everest, the expanded menu offers more variety than ever before. Whether you’re craving a classic cheeseburger or looking to try a Tanzanian Meat Pie, Harambe Market once again delivers a dining experience that feels true to the spirit of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
