Disney Springs is packed with dining options, which can make choosing a restaurant surprisingly difficult. Do you go for something trendy? Something unique? Something upscale? Or do you simply choose a place where everyone in your group is likely to find something they enjoy? During a recent visit, we found ourselves asking those same questions before ultimately deciding on Terralina Crafted Italian.

It had been quite a while since our last meal here. In fact, the previous visit dates back to around the time we discussed the restaurant during our podcast trip review featured in Episode 701. You can read and listen more about that trip report here.

That earlier visit left us with positive memories, and when we recently discovered Terralina’s summer dining promotion, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to return. The result was exactly what we remembered: a comfortable, family-friendly meal that may not redefine Italian dining but succeeds at doing something equally important. Terralina Crafted Italian provides reliable food that most families will genuinely enjoy.

What Is Terralina Crafted Italian?

For visitors unfamiliar with the restaurant, Terralina Crafted Italian occupies a beautiful waterfront location along Lake Buena Vista in Disney Springs. The restaurant originally opened as Portobello Country Italian Trattoria before undergoing a significant transformation into Terralina Crafted Italian. Celebrity Chef Tony Mantuano helped reimagine the menu and overall concept, bringing a focus on Italian comfort food inspired by Italy’s Lake District.

The atmosphere strikes a pleasant balance between casual and upscale. It feels more elevated than a quick-service location but doesn’t require the commitment of a signature dining experience. Families, couples, and larger groups all seem equally comfortable here.

Large windows provide plenty of natural light during the day, while the lakeside setting creates a relaxing environment in the evening. It’s easy to forget you’re in the middle of Disney Springs when seated near the water. For families with children or teenagers, the menu is particularly approachable. Pasta, chicken parmesan, lasagna, pizza, and familiar “Americanized” Italian favorites dominate the offerings. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a long park day.

The Summer Discount Makes a Difference

One major reason we decided to revisit Terralina Crafted Italian was the restaurant’s current summer dining promotion. As we previously reported in our Disney Springs dining discounts roundup, Terralina Crafted Italian is offering guests 20% off food and non-alcoholic beverages from June 1 through July 31. There is also a Florida resident offer that is 25% off. You can read more about the Disney Springs summer dining deals here.

The discount cannot be combined with other promotions, but it can significantly reduce the final bill. For our group of five, we ordered:

  • One appetizer
  • Four entrees
  • Several beverages
  • An additional meatball add-on
  • One shared entrée

Before gratuity, our total came to approximately $145. At Disney Springs, feeding five people for that amount at a full-service restaurant feels surprisingly reasonable. Without the discount, the value equation becomes a little more complicated. With the discount in place, however, Terralina Crafted Italian becomes much easier to recommend. Walt Disney World passholders do receive a 10% disocunt year-round.

First Impressions and Bread Service

Like many Italian restaurants, Terralina Crafted Italian begins the meal with complimentary bread service. In this case, guests receive focaccia bread. The bread itself was good, although somewhat inconsistent from piece to piece. Some portions were softer and fresher than others, but overall it served its purpose well enough.

What surprised us most was the butter. Rather than receiving house-made spreads, olive oil accompaniments, or flavored butter, we were presented with individually packaged butter cubes. It felt a little out of place for a sit-down Italian restaurant.

The olive oil available at the table was enjoyable, but we couldn’t help thinking that a simple balsamic reduction and cracked pepper setup would elevate the experience considerably. It’s a small detail. Still, bread service often creates the first impression of an Italian meal. Yes, we will admit it, our food reporters can often have very strong opinions about bread accessories.

Starting Things Off at Terralina Crafted Italian: Bruschetta

Our appetizer choice was the Bruschetta, priced at $15. The dish features:

  • Tomatoes
  • Basil pesto
  • Shaved Parmesan
  • Balsamic reduction Arugula

This was not a revolutionary interpretation of bruschetta. That’s actually part of what made it successful. The bread delivered a satisfying crunch without becoming difficult to eat. Remember our food reporters have strong opinions about bread. The tomatoes tasted fresh, the Parmesan added welcome saltiness, and the balsamic reduction tied everything together. The addition of arugula provided a slightly elevated touch that helped distinguish it from more basic versions.

Everyone at the table enjoyed it. Sometimes, appetizers try too hard to reinvent classics. Terralina Crafted Italian wisely avoids that temptation here. Would we order it again? Absolutely.

Shrimp Scampi Fettuccine Review

A white bowl filled with a generous serving of shrimp fettuccine pasta tossed in a light, creamy sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and sprinkled with fresh herbs at Terralina Crafted Italian.

One of the evening’s seafood selections was the Shrimp Scampi Fettuccine, priced at $34. The dish includes:

  • Shrimp
  • Fettuccine
  • Lemon butter
  • White wine
  • Parsley
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • Toasted garlic

Visually, the presentation was appealing. The shrimp were especially impressive. Large, plump, and properly cooked, they delivered exactly the texture you’d hope to find in a seafood pasta dish.

However, the biggest factor here was the lemon. Yes, we mean a lot of lemon. The citrus flavor dominates nearly every bite.

For guests who love bright, citrus-forward seafood dishes, this could easily become a favorite. For those who prefer a more balanced scampi sauce, the lemon may become overwhelming. This wasn’t a bad dish by any means. It simply leaned further into lemon territory than expected.

Chicken Parmesan Review

A large breaded and fried Chicken Parmesan cutlet smothered in melted mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce, served alongside a twirled portion of spaghetti topped with shredded cheese at Terralina Crafted Italian.

Another entrée ordered during our meal was the Chicken Parmesan, priced at $32. The dish features:

  • Breaded chicken cutlet
  • Mozzarella
  • Pomodoro sauce
  • Spaghetti

The chicken was unquestionably the star. The breading delivered a pleasant crunch, while the interior remained tender and juicy. The cheese coverage was generous without becoming excessive. It tasted freshly prepared rather than mass-produced.

The spaghetti side generated slightly more mixed reactions. There could have been a little more sauce, and the pasta itself landed just short of our preferred texture. It was not undercooked or crunchy. It just needed to be less firm. The pasta tasted enjoyable, but not quite right. The chicken, however, was excellent!

The Surprise Favorite: Fettuccine Alfredo

Perhaps the most telling dish of the evening was the Terralina Fettuccine Alfredo. Priced at $30, the standard version includes:

  • Chicken
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • Peas

Our entrée was customized to feature a simpler preparation with pasta, Alfredo sauce, and chicken. Among the younger diners in our group, this became the clear favorite. Why? It delivered exactly what people expect when ordering chicken Alfredo…creamy sauce! It tasted exactly like the kind of chicken Alfredo most people expect, and sometimes that is exactly what you want. This is where Terralina really shines: safe, familiar, crowd-pleasing Italian food.

The Terralina Crafted Italian House-Made Lasagna

The final entrée was the Terralina Crafted Italian House-Made Lasagna. Priced at $27, the dish includes:

  • Spinach
  • Ricotta
  • Mozzarella
  • Pecorino
  • Tomato sauce
  • Basil

Guests may upgrade to a meat sauce version for an additional charge. For those who have upgraded the lasagna at Terrlian Crafted Italian, you need to like sauce!

During our most recent visit, we opted to keep the lasagna meatless and instead added a meatball for $6. One aspect we always appreciate at Disney Springs restaurants is a willingness to split entrées. Terralina Crafted Italian divided the lasagna into separate plates before serving, making sharing much easier.

As for the lasagna itself, it improved with every bite. The noodles were cooked properly. The cheese blend provided richness without becoming heavy. The spinach integrated well into the dish, and the tomato sauce tasted bright and fresh.

The balance of the lasagna worked. The flavors felt lighter than many traditional lasagnas while still delivering the comfort guests expect. However, the added meatball generated some debate around the table. One opinion described it as tender, flavorful, and satisfying. Another thought it veered slightly too close to meatloaf territory and lacked moisture. Your mileage may vary depending on where you stand in the eternal meatball-versus-meatloaf debate. The lasagna itself, however, was undeniably successful.

Terralina Crafted Italian at Disney Springs: Service and Atmosphere

Beyond the food, the service deserves recognition. Our server was attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the evening. Drink refills arrived promptly. Special requests were accommodated without issue. Questions were answered confidently. Nothing about the experience felt rushed.

For families visiting Disney Springs after a long theme park day, that level of service matters. The dining room also remains one of Terralina Crafted Italian’s strongest assets. The waterfront setting creates a relaxing atmosphere noticeably calmer than some of Disney Springs’ busier venues. It’s easy to hold a conversation. It’s easy to unwind. Also, it’s easy to enjoy a leisurely dinner.

How Does Terralina Crafted Italian Compare to Other Disney Springs Restaurants?

This is perhaps the most important question for prospective visitors. Disney Springs offers exceptional dining. When compared to culinary standouts like Wine Bar George, Summer House, Morimoto Asia, or The Boathouse, Terralina Crafted Italian may not generate the same level of excitement.

However, that’s not really the point. Terralina Crafted Italian fills a different role. It serves as a dependable family restaurant. The menu is approachable. The atmosphere is comfortable. The food is familiar. Not every restaurant needs to be a destination meal. Some simply need to deliver a pleasant dining experience that leaves everyone satisfied. Terralina Crafted Italian succeeds at that goal.

Who Should Eat Here?

Terralina Crafted Italian is especially well suited for:

  • Families with children or teenagers
  • Guests craving pasta
  • Larger groups with varying tastes
  • Visitors seeking a quieter Disney Springs meal
  • Guests utilizing the current summer discount
  • Anyone looking for familiar comfort food

It may be less appealing for:

  • Guests seeking adventurous cuisine
  • Italian food purists
  • Visitors looking for Disney Springs’ most innovative dining experience
  • Those wanting premium fine dining

Relaxing Disney Springs Dining

Terralina Crafted Italian won’t necessarily become your favorite restaurant at Disney Springs. It probably won’t be the meal you spend months talking about afterward. What it does provide is something many Disney Springs restaurants struggle to offer consistently: reliability.

The food is approachable. The service is strong. The atmosphere is also welcoming. With the current summer discounts, the value becomes much more attractive. In many ways, Terralina’s greatest strength is understanding exactly what it wants to be. It isn’t trying to reinvent Italian cuisine. It isn’t trying to become the trendiest restaurant in Disney Springs.

Instead, it focuses on serving crowd-pleasing Italian comfort food in a beautiful setting. Sometimes that’s exactly what a Walt Disney World vacation needs.
