Guests can celebrate Cinco de Mayo Antojitos style. They can enjoy six specialty dishes, live DJ sets, and stilt walkers at Universal Orlando’s Mexican spot.

Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food at Universal CityWalk Orlando offers plenty to see and eat. More than just a vibrant celebration, Cinco de Mayo is a major part of Mexican history. Meaning “Fifth of May” in Spanish, Cinco de Mayo celebrates Mexico’s victory against the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. From noon to close on May 5th, Antojitos is honoring this history with a tasty selection of Mexican staples and exclusive specialty dishes.

Specialty Cinco de Mayo Antojitos Dishes

For one day only, the restaurant is ramping up its menu with six specialty offerings that dig deep into the roots of Mexican cuisine.

- Street Elote: This savory grilled corn on the cob is dressed in jalapeño aioli, queso fresco, Tajín, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and cilantro.
- Tacos: Choose from al pastor (marinated pork), tinga (shredded chicken), or nopales (prickly pear cactus), topped with onions, cilantro, pickled cabbage, and chipotle aioli.
- Baked Potato: A loaded potato with a Mexican twist, featuring your choice of chicken tinga or pork carnitas, garnished with queso, pico de gallo, Oaxaca cheese, and cilantro.
- Guacamole & Chips: Based on the ancient “ahuacamolli,” this version is sprinkled with chili-lime dust and cilantro.
- Mexicali Popsicles: Cool down with mango chamoy or strawberry lime & Miguelito flavors.
- Aguas Frescas: Sip on traditional Jamaica (hibiscus), Horchata (rice and cinnamon), or refreshing Lime Cucumber.

Entertainment and Sweet Rewards

Starting at 4 p.m., the Cinco de Mayo Antojitos celebration moves beyond the plate. Guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor live entertainment, featuring dancers, stilt walkers, and a DJ to keep the energy high all night.
Before you head home, make sure to stop by Voodoo Doughnut. They are offering a special Margarita doughnut for the occasion, a raised yeast shell filled with citrus jelly and topped with tequila-flavored icing, Miguelito spice, and a tangerine slice.
If this does not sound like your style, Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar will be celebrating Rocco’s de Mayo on that day. For more information about that event, check here.
