The fog is rising once again at SeaWorld Orlando as the park has officially revealed the first haunted house for Howl-O-Scream 2026, signaling the return of one of Orlando’s most intense Halloween events. Of course, this year, the scares will start much later in September than in previous years. Well, we think they will.

Starting Date Confusion for SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream 2026 in Orlando

Before we can discuss the first house announcement, we need to talk about the scary elephant on the official SeaWorld Orlando website. At the time of this writing, the SeaWorld Orlando website indicates the event starts September 11. Of course, in other sections, it says the event starts on September 18. We have been updating our article about the start date for Howl-O-Scream in Orlando and Tampa for months.

Quite frankly, we are tired of all the SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream 2026 date changes on the website. We also feel bad for any guests who purchased the full season Howl-O-Scream ticket, since you have no idea when to show up. We promise to keep that article updated. Okay, on to the house and SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream 2026 scare zone announcements…

SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream 2026 First House Announcement

If the Seaworld Orlando wesbite and social media can be trusted, we have the name and some information about a new house for 2026 Howl-O-Scream Orlando. The name of the houses is “Everything Must Stay.” The basic backstory goes like this:

For six years, one suburban home has sat unsold while every open house ends the same way: terrified buyers fleeing from things they can’t explain. Tonight, those unseen forces awaken, and you’ll find yourself trapped inside for the worst showing imaginable.

What Else to Expect from Howl-O-Scream 2026

Howl-O-Scream SeaWorld Orlando 2026 returns on select nights this fall, transforming the park into a fully immersive Halloween experience after dark. While additional houses and scare zones have yet to be announced, the event is expected to follow the same format fans have come to love in recent years.

Guests can typically expect:

  • Haunted Houses – Multiple indoor walkthrough attractions featuring original horror concepts
  • Scare Zones – Open pathways filled with roaming creatures and sudden scares
  • Live Shows – High-energy performances with horror themes
  • Thrill Rides at Night – Select coasters and attractions operating in the dark

Unlike daytime park experiences, Howl-O-Scream is designed for a more mature audience, featuring intense scares, graphic imagery, and loud environments. With the Howl-O-Scream Orlando 2026 house announcement, SeaWorld shared more information about the event on its website.

  • There will be five houses, with only one returning house from last year. Those details are still a mystery.
  • There will be six scare zones with four new ones and two returning ones, Woodrot Hollow and Trailer Park Tragedy
  • Five all-new interactive bars
  • Three shows: Two returning shows (Throttle and Monster Stomp) and one new show, Hellzapoppin Presents: The Grave Danger Thrill Show, which will be held in the Carnevil Curiosities area.
  • Once again, all details reported currently could change since SeaWorld Orlando keeps changing things!

Howl-O-Scream 2026 at SeaWorld Orlando is expected to run on select nights from September 18 (we think) through October 31. This is a separately ticketed event, meaning regular daytime admission does not include access to Howl-O-Scream. The event starts each evening at 7:00 p.m. Ticket options usually include single-night admission and unlimited visit passes for frequent guests.

Since its debut in 2021, SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream has quickly grown into a more cost-effective, and less crowded competitor in Orlando’s Halloween event lineup. By focusing on original haunted houses and unique themes tied to the park’s identity, it offers a different kind of horror experience compared to nearby events.

With the first haunted house now revealed, several more houses, scare zones, and live entertainment offerings are expected to be announced in the coming months. Stay tuned, because the deeper you go, the darker it gets.
