Universal Epic Universe has officially been open for nearly a year, and while Celestial Park continues to dazzle, one of its star attractions is taking an unexpected “pit stop.” If you were hoping to race through the cosmos this week, there is some new information you need to know.

Stardust Racers is a premier dual-launch racing coaster at Universal Epic Universe. This celestial-themed ride sends guests soaring through the cosmos on sleek chariots. Reaching speeds of 62 mph, it features a unique “inverted crisscross” maneuver, making it a standout attraction for thrill-seekers visiting the expansive new theme park

Universal Orlando Resort has officially extended the scheduled maintenance for Stardust Racers. Originally, the high-speed dual-launch coaster was only slated for a very brief three-day closure from February 19 through February 21, 2026. However, the refurbishment has now been extended through April 5, 2026.

The extension of this maintenance window suggests that the technical teams are taking a little extra time to ensure the “Great Battle” is performing at peak efficiency. While the park hasn’t specified the reason for the added days, it’s not uncommon for new, technically complex coasters to require these additional adjustments during their first year of operation. However, this issue, along with other previous downtime for Stardust Racers will do nothing for guest satisfaction.

If you are visiting before the end of the month, don’t worry—there is still plenty of magic to find in Celestial Park. You can grab a bite at the Atlantic restaurant or catch the beautiful fountain shows while you wait for the “comets” to return to the sky. Stardust Racers is expected to resume flights on April 5, 2026. In fairness, the Stardust Racers refurbishment could extend longer. Guests should consult the official Universal Orlando website for updates.
