Universal Lunar New Year Food Offerings

Universal Lunar New Year

Whether you’re exploring Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Epic Universe, or Universal CityWalk Orlando, here’s what you might want to considering adding to your must-eat list:

Lunar Glazed Pork Fried Rice — Lombard’s Seafood Grille

Universal Lunar New Year

Over in Universal Studios Florida, Lombard’s Seafood Grille is serving up a bold take on fried rice packed with Chinese sausage, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, pork belly, and Asian-inspired veggies. Chef Jose Acosta Yalta drew on inspirations from San Francisco’s Chinatown and his Peruvian roots, making this dish one of the standout Lunar New Year specials.

“Peru has one of the biggest Chinese and Asian influences,” Chef Jose says. “So, for me, it felt very familiar to go with fried rice. I wanted to put the fried rice that I grew up eating on Lombard’s menu as well.”

Smoked Brisket Pho — Mythos Restaurant

Smoked Brisket Pho

Across in Universal Islands of Adventure, Mythos brings a unique twist to classic Vietnamese pho with tender smoked brisket and rich house-made broth, garnished with fresh herbs, crunchy bean sprouts, and chili paste — perfect for a cozy bite between rides.

Longan Red Date Tea — The Blue Dragon (Universal Epic Universe)

Universal Lunar New Year

At The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant inside Universal Epic Universe, sip on a warming Longan Red Date Tea. This traditional beverage is brewed with dried longans, red dates, honey, and passionfruit — and was crafted in partnership with Universal’s culinary teams abroad to bring authentic flavor to the celebration.

The Fiery Horse Crunch Roll — The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

In CityWalk’s Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, this vibrant sushi roll embraces bold flavors and spicy crunch with salmon, tuna, avocado, sriracha-chipotle mayo, tobiko, and a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos crust. Inspired by the Year of the Horse, it’s one of the hottest new items guests won’t want to miss.

Chef Wilmith Honore

Handcrafted by Cowfish chef Wilmith Honore, The Fiery Horse Crunch Roll was inspired by this year’s Lunar New Year symbol, the horse. Horses are known as a symbol of power and strength, and the chefs at Cowfish wanted to find a way to turn that symbolism into a special dish for the celebration.

Chef Wilmith says he was drawn to the spirit of love, the energies, and all the opportunities that Lunar New Year represents. So, he found a way to channel that spirit into an exceptional dish by taking salmon, tuna, avocado, sriracha-chipotle mayonnaise, tobiko (flying fish roe), and ponzu sauce with a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos crunch and turning it into The Fiery Horse Crunch Roll, you’ll come to know and love this Lunar New Year.

Bend the Bao (CityWalk)

Universal Lunar New Year

Also in CityWalk, Bend the Bao is celebrating with two bao options: a Seven Spice Beef Brisket Bao and a BBQ Duck Bao, both loaded with bold toppings like apple-cabbage slaw, chipotle aioli, and cilantro. These handheld treats put a playful twist on classic Asian flavors.

“When you think of horses, what do you think of when it comes to food? For me, it’s apples and carrots,” Chef Deondrick Williams says. “So, I was thinking, ‘How can I incorporate that into a bao bun?’” His thinking led him to creating an apple-cabbage slaw coupled with scallions, cucumbers, and carrots that top the Seven Spice Beef Brisket Bao.
