Walt Disney World revealed some of the new Harambe Market menu items debuting with the restaurant’s reopening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in early 2026. It features classic favorites like bacon cheeseburgers and chicken strips alongside fresh wraps, salads, and desserts.

UPDATE: Based on some changes on the Harambe Market webpage, it looks like it will reopen on February 5, 2026. Also, sadly, the menu looks much less exciting than the previous one.

Harambe Market, the African-inspired quick-service dining location in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort, is preparing to reopen in early 2026 with a refreshed menu lineup that blends familiar favorites with exciting new choices.

Located in the lively open-air Harambe village, Harambe Market has long been a destination for guests seeking bold African-inspired street-food flavors and ample outdoor seating in a marketplace setting. The restaurant traditionally features a variety of grilled proteins, rice bowls, salads, pitas, and more. .

Harambe Market Reopening

After temporarily closing in October 2025 for refurbishment, Harambe Market is set to return with a new quick-service menu featuring blandly-flavored staurantosaurus menu, retaining universally popular theme-park fare.

New Harambe Market Menu: A Fresh Take on a This Quick-Service Spot

The upcoming reopening is part of broader changes happening throughout Animal Kingdom’s dining landscape. This includes the planned closure of Restaurantosaurus on February 2, 2026, which will shift more counter-service demand to Harambe Market.

Originally known for authentic-leaning African street-food, from rice bowls and pitas to salads, Harambe Market’s new direction leans into more widely recognized American favorites while abandoning the original uniqueness of Harambe Market. For fans of Harambe Market, this new menu looks very dull. With more exciting places like Satu’li Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the new Harambe Market menu looks underwhelming!

Official Location Details

Harambe Market is a quick-service restaurant located in the Africa area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It features multiple open-air dining windows serving a variety of African-inspired meals, beverages, and snacks, with outdoor seating in a bustling village atmosphere.

New Harambe Market Menu: Why This Matters

For many guests, Harambe Market has been a reliable, flavorful dining choice during their Disney’s Animal Kingdom visits. The refresh underscores Disney’s ongoing efforts to balance guest favorites with menu innovation, offering families and travelers a mix of comfort-food classics and globally inspired eats. With its scheduled return in early 2026, Harambe Market will continue to play an essential role in the park’s food offerings.
