We review the Hazelnut Praline Boller from Norway at Epcot’s 2026 Festival of the Arts. Does the hazelnut cream deliver?

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

When you think of the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, your mind probably goes straight to skolebrød (School Bread). However, for the 2026 Epcot International Festival of the Arts, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe has introduced a sophisticated new contender that might just give that coconut-covered classic a run for its money: the Hazelnut Praline Boller.

The base of this treat is a traditional Norwegian cardamom bun, which provides a warm, spicy foundation that smells incredible before you even take a bite. While past festival offerings at this location have occasionally suffered from being a bit dry, the 2026 Boller aims for perfection with its rich hazelnut cream filling.

Figment

The presentation is where the “art” truly comes in. Adorned with a white chocolate disc featuring the festival’s mascot, Figment, the bun is encrusted with a generous layer of hazelnut praline pieces. The contrast between the soft, spiced dough and the crunchy, sweet praline creates a texture profile that is much more engaging than your average bakery snack. If you’re a fan of Ferrero Rocher or Nutella, this is essentially the high-end, artisanal version of those flavors. It’s an “elevated” snack that fits perfectly into the festival’s theme of culinary creativity.

The white chocolate piece was harder than we expected. Overall, it was an average decorative piece of white chocolate. However, it does have Figment on it, so that is a plus. Still, the dessert was light and not overly sugary sweet. The texture was softer than we anticipated. Additionally, fans of hazelnut will love the filling. The hazelnut pairs well with the pastry. Still, it will not amaze anyone. Also, the cardamom makes a nice touch with this Hazelnut Praline Boller

Hazelnut Praline Boiler as a Snack

The Hazelnut Praline Boller makes a great snack. It offers a good change of pace from festival food at Epcot. The Hazelnut Praline Boller would make a good reason to stop for a bite to eat before or after your time riding the Frozen attraction. So far, we have eaten several of these during the 2026 Festival of the Arts.

Is this better than School Bread? If you dislike coconut, then absolutely! If you call yourself a fan of hazelnut, then once again, absolutely! However, the school bread set the standard in the Norway area of Epcot’s World Showcase. Still, this Epcot Festival of the Arts treat makes a good case to be at least as good as school bread. Try it before the festival ends.

Experience the 2026 Epcot International Festival of the Arts

The Epcot International Festival of the Arts returned in 2026, running from through February 23. This celebration is a favorite for many guests because it feels more intimate and creative than the larger food-centric festivals. It is a time when the park truly sparkles, featuring 16 different Food Studios alongside permanent locations like Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe that serve exclusive, artistic items.

Beyond the food, the festival is a hub for the Visual and Performing Arts. You can catch the Disney on Broadway Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre, featuring stars from hits like Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. Art lovers can also meet world-renowned artists, participate in a giant Paint-by-Number Mural, or search for Figment in the Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt. Whether you’re there for the hazelnut treats in Norway or the chalk art on the bridge, it’s a must-visit winter event.
