Looking for a new burger to try? Well, Burger King is starting the new year by giving fans exactly what they asked for. The home of the Whopper officially launched the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper, the latest creation born from its “Whopper by You” guest-innovation platform. This new premium offering arrives as the third installment in a series of fan-driven menu items, following the successful 2025 launches of the BBQ Brisket Whopper and the Crispy Onion Whopper.

The Anatomy of a Fan-Favorite: The Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper

The Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper was designed to capture the bold, savory profile of a high-end bistro burger. With over 600,000 submissions to the “Whopper by You” platform to date, Burger King identified a clear demand for rich, steakhouse-inspired flavors.

The new build features:

  • Flame-Grilled Beef: A 4.4 oz patty of 100% real beef.
  • Premium Toppings: Stacked with golden onion rings, crispy bacon, and sautéed mushrooms.
  • The Signature Finish: Melty Swiss cheese and a creamy peppercorn aioli, served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

“Burger King has an incredibly passionate fanbase that loves the Whopper and constantly inspires us,” said Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer, Burger King US&C. “We’re excited to start the year with this delicious new guest-inspired sandwich.”

A Sweet Addition: Cinnamon Apple Pie

To round out the meal, Burger King is also introducing a seasonal Cinnamon Apple Pie. This warm, flaky dessert has been a frequent request from customers looking for the perfect finishing touch to their “Whopper by You” orders. Like the new burger, the apple pie is available starting January 6 for a limited time while supplies last.

The “Whopper by You” Movement

The “Whopper by You” initiative represents a strategic shift for the brand, moving toward “premiumization” by using elevated ingredients like peppercorn aioli and Swiss cheese. This strategy allows the chain to offer high-quality flavor profiles with the convenience of fast food.
