We visited the Green & Red Coconut Club during opening weekend and share our thoughts on what makes it one of Universal’s best holiday offerings. The Green & Red Coconut Club reopened on Friday, November 21, 2025. It will be open most days through January 4, 2026.

Universal Orlando’s most festive fan-favorite bar is officially back for the 2025 holiday season. The Green & Red Coconut Club will once again transform the upstairs space at Universal CityWalk Orlando into a high-energy, neon-lit, tree-trimmed holiday lounge. It also comes complete with themed cocktails, seasonal snacks, dazzling décor, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek holiday cheer.

Passholder Preview: A Fun, Crowd-Free Jumpstart

Green & Red Coconut Club

We arrived for the Universal Orlando Passholder Preview, which ran from 3:00–5:00 p.m. on opening day (Friday, November 21). The early entry made a huge difference. We were able to explore the space with minimal crowds, grab drinks quickly, and take photos without needing to dodge a sea of Santa hats.

The preview also gave us first dibs to view the new 2025 cocktail lineup. We were pleased to see a mocktail on the menu. Additionally, Universal Orlando Resort passmembers were given one free hot chocolate for attending the preview.

Green & Red Coconut Club: What Stood Out During Our Visit

The Décor Is Even Bigger This Year

Yes, an actual hockey game for guests to enjoy

The Green & Red Coconut Club always goes all-in, but 2025 is its boldest transformation yet. The red Coconut Club transformed into the Green and Red Coconut Club, a version of Earl the Squirrel Mistletoe Pines. Guests enter this ski lodge-type setting to relax. We saw:

Green & Red Coconut Club
  • Floor-to-ceiling retro Christmas décor
  • Plenty of nods to Earl the Squirrel, an icon of the Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort
  • Plenty of photo ops, including a snow globe one near the entrance.
  • Playful nods to classic Universal holiday entertainment
  • More lights than we thought physically possible in one bar

It’s bright. And it’s chaotic. It’s festive. It’s perfect.

Endless Photo Ops

Between the themed corners, props, and backdrops, it’s nearly impossible not to walk away with a few great photos. This club has quietly become one of Universal’s best seasonal Instagram spots.

Green & Red Coconut Club: Hours, Admission, and Location

Green & Red Coconut Club

The Green & Red Coconut Club sits on the second floor of Universal CityWalk Orlando, above Red Oven Pizza Bakery. As always, admission is free, and no park ticket is required. Hours vary, but the venue generally begins operating late afternoon through late night during the holiday season. However, guests should note that Universal Orlando Resort often books this location for private events. This means it is closed to all other guests during those times.

After visiting the 2025 opening, we can confidently say the Green & Red Coconut Club remains one of Universal Orlando’s strongest holiday offerings. Most guests will absolutely find it worth a stop, whether you’re in the parks or simply visiting CityWalk for the evening. The Passholder preview was a major perk, the atmosphere is unmatched.
