The holiday season is in full swing, and there’s no better place to experience festive magic than Busch Gardens Christmas Town 2025. From dazzling lights to delicious treats and unforgettable shows, this seasonal event delivers holiday cheer for guests of all ages.

Christmas on Ice

A highlight of the visit is always Christmas on Ice. This spectacular show combines stunning skating performances, festive music, and colorful costumes to tell classic holiday stories. The energy is infectious, and it’s a perfect way to kick off your evening in Busch Gardens Christmas Town.

All-New Serengeti Light Show

One of the most talked-about additions this year is the Serengeti Light Show. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay describes the new light show this way:

A luminous, choreographed display that turns the Serengeti into a living canvas of color and sound, celebrating the beauty of the season. The show features tens of thousands of Christmas lights choreographed to the tune of our own exclusive iteration of “Carol of the Bells”

This light show near Cheetah Hunt and Oasis Pizza makes an excellent upgrade to the Busch Gardens Christmas Town event. This, along with all the impressive light displays in the theme park, provides an exceptional experience to walk around.

Holly Jolly Express

For another magical perspective, hop aboard the Holly Jolly Express. This festive train takes guests on a scenic ride through the park. Guests can see some of the animals as they ride around. This train is decorated for the holidays. Additionally, guests will hear Christmas music as they ride. If you are lucky (or unlucky, depending on your perspective), the train ride might become a sing-along.

Food is a major part of Busch Gardens Christmas Town, and we made it a mission to try many of the holiday-inspired dishes. Busch Gardens Christmas Town sets up several food and beverage cabins where guests can purchase holiday-inspired menu items. In future articles, we will break down many of the items we tried in our weekday noon theme park dining reviews. Additionally, we will return several more times to try the Busch Gardens Christmas Town food options.

Mini Monte Cristo Bites

However, we found ourselves surprised by items like Mini Monte Cristo Bites and the Chicken and Sweet Potato Waffles. In general terms, the food we tried fell into the good but not great category. However, nothing we tried was below average or bad. Guests should remember they can purchase a sampler lanyard to save money on the food and beverage at Busch Gardens Christmas Town 2025.

Busch Gardens Christmas Town: Story Time with Mrs. Claus

Another must-see for any group with young children is Story Time with Mrs. Claus. This charming performance is filled with storytelling, humor, and audience participation. Mrs. Claus’s warmth shines through, making it an engaging experience for both kids and adults. Singing along to holiday classics adds an extra layer of festive fun.

Character Meet & Greets

No visit to Busch Gardens Christmas Town is complete without visiting Santa, Mrs. Claus, and other holiday characters. These meet-and-greets offer the perfect photo opportunities and create memories that last long after the holiday season has ended. Lines can get long, so it’s best to plan, but the festive interactions are always worth it. In addition to the main characters, Santa and Rudolph, guests can find characters in the Festival Walkway area, where many of the food and beverage cabins are located.

Busch Gardens also has several holiday characters, like the Sugar Plum Fairy/Princess. Those characters appear based on a schedule throughout the theme park. For those who love photo ops, Christmas Town has plenty.
