In early October, rumors started about the popular table service restaurant, Finnegan’s Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida, closing for a lengthy refurbishment. During this time, a very popular YouTube personality said on his channel that the table service restaurant would be closing for almost all of 2026.

Finnegan’s Universal Studios Florida Closing for an Extended Refurbishment in 2026

Today, we got official confirmation that the rumor is true. According to the Universal Orlando Resort website, the Finnegan’s Universal Studios Florida restaurant will start a refurbishment in early 2026. Finnegan’s Bar & Grill will be temporarily closed beginning on January 12 until Late 2026 for renovations. This means that for Halloween Horror Nights fans, the only table-service restaurant usually open inside Universal Studios Florida will be closed during the 2026 event. This will change how many experienced Halloween Horror Nights fans enjoy their evenings at Universal Studios Florida.

What is Next?

We want to inform you that we have all the necessary details for this project. Still, we do not! However, this restaurant has been around for a long while with few changes. We suspect a kitchen upgrade. Additionally, major upgrades are likely to occur in the seating and bar areas. However, we do not expect a significant thematic change.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill is an Irish-American pub located in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida. It offers a full-service dining experience, serving hearty Irish fare, like Fish & Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, and Guinness Beef Stew, alongside classic American options.

The venue is also popular for its lively atmosphere, featuring daily live music performances in the afternoon and evening. Additionally, it’s a popular spot for guests to relax, grab a pint of imported or domestic beer, and enjoy a meal in a cozy, welcoming pub setting, complete with themed movie-set decor.
