Introducing Tacolate: A Waffle Taco of Ice Cream Dreams
This October, fans have a special reason to visit: the debut of Tacolate. Recently, Salt & Straw announced that its long-anticipated collaboration with Taco Bell, the Tacolate, would debut in stores on October 3, 2025.
Salt & Straw is turning dessert fans’ wildest imaginations into reality with its latest collaboration with Taco Bell: the Tacolate. First teased at Taco Bell’s Live Más Live event in February 2024, this playful creation blends two treats into one unforgettable indulgence.
The Tacolate features a waffle-cone taco shell filled with cinnamon ancho chili ice cream, then dipped in single-origin chocolate and topped with toasted brown rice for crunch. Still, the magic doesn’t stop there. Each Tacolate comes with two Taco Bell-inspired sauces: Mango Jalapeño and Wildberry Cinnamon, giving dessert lovers the ultimate sweet-and-spicy experience. The Tacolate offers multiple levels of chocolate.
“This has been a dream to collaborate with Taco Bell to bring this product to life,” said Salt & Straw cofounder Tyler Malek, who partnered with Taco Bell’s culinary team to perfect the Tacolate. “Nearly a decade in the making, we’ve developed a reimagined version of the nostalgic treat, and we could not be more excited to bring our version to ice cream and taco lovers.”
Tacolates will be available at Salt & Straw locations and for nationwide shipping in packs of six through saltandstraw.com, as well as select third-party delivery platforms. Each Tacolate is priced around $7.50, making this whimsical treat a must-try for any adventurous foodie.

Salt & Straw October Flavors
If the Tacolate arrival is not enough, the October 2025 Salt & Straw Disney Springs ice cream series has arrived. We expect these flavors to be around until October 31, when the November ice cream series begins. Remember, Salt & Straw typically launches its new series of monthly ice cream flavors on a Friday.
Based on previous years, we expect the 2025 Salt & Straw October flavors to resemble the past three years. Several hints were given that “The Great Candycopia” flavor would return for its fourth year at Disney Springs in October. The 2025 Salt & Straw October Flavors include:
- The Great Candycopia – Salted butterscotch ice cream with homemade Halloween candies inspired by Kit Kats, Snickers, Reeses, and Heath made of bite-sized crispy milk chocolate, feuilletine pieces, peanut butter in chocolate, and almonds in bourbon vanilla toffee
- Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread – Pumpkin spice ice cream made with ginger, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, and allspice with pumpkin bread covered in yellow, orange, or white cream cheese frosting folded in
- Creepy Crawly Critters – Green matcha ice cream with a splash of fresh orange juice with Don Bugito’s coconut toffee candied mealworms and chocolate-covered crickets stirred in
- Essence of Ghost – Light white scotch and Mexican vanilla sherbet swirled with black licorice chocolate ice cream
- Double Bubble Toil and Trouble (V) – A blend of pineapple, banana, and pear in coconut cream, spiced with cinnamon and vanilla for a bubble-gum flavor.
The only new addition to the Halloween Series for 2025 is the Double Bubble Toil and Trouble, which appears to be an update to the 2022 vegan option.

- Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread – Pumpkin spiced ice cream with hunks of pumpkin bread and swirls of whipped cream cheese frosting
- Don Bugito’s Creepy Crawly Critters – Sweet green matcha ice cream with Don Bugito’s toffee brittle mealworms and chocolate crickets
- Chocolate Champurrado with Sesame Toffee – Spiced champurrado ice cream (Chocolate drink thickened with masa, made with Portland’s Cloudforest Chocolate) with shards of sesame seed palenqueta (Mexican-style sesame toffee)
- Blackberry & Masa Tamale Sherbet – One half masa coconut cream sherbet, one half marionberry sherbet swirled together (Vegan)
